Arius Blaze Folktek Impossible Box Demos & 1st Release on Folktek Records

Impossible Box Demos:

"Single take, unedited recording of playing the Impossible box (http://folktek.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-impossible-box-official-post.html), layered with a water field recording - cubensis + lost lake. sweet and cello-ish. The odd combination (the sounds of water meeting the sounds of something like a cello in a hall) make the mind reconcile the difference between two different spaces, creating one space that inevitably has form."

"dark, tense film sound from the impossible box (http://folktek.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-impossible-box-official-post.html) - processed field recording and drone"

"single take recording of the impossible box being played (http://folktek.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-impossible-box-official-post.html) = unedited and rather long."

Folktek on eBay

Two tracks recorded for the first release on Folktek Records:

"One of two tracks (the other being "Spatial Features") [below] recorded for the first release on Folktek Records - to be cut to dubplates. The 10" dubplate release is an exploration into proposed space. Both tracks are rather mellow and somewhat minimal spacial dub. Both are rather long, uncut, single take recordings of being at play with the Impossible box; http://folktek.blogspot.com/2012/08/the-impossible-box-official-post.html"

Note how the front panel folds down. "This one is manufactured in 08.1987 You can see in pictures... It was made by Murom plant RIP in '70's yars. Synthesizer has very original 'transformer' design with removing main operation panel. Synth looks very industrial and military, like the soviet secret weapon. Aelita is a fat sounding synth with quite unique sound due to original soviet analog circuitry and electronic components. The Aelita is a 3-oscillator monosynth with independently detunable oscillators, a 24 dB/Octave Moog ladder filter, dual ADS envelopes and an LFO with triangle, square, saw and ramp waveforms. If a player uses different musical effects (for example three-part unison, timbral glissando, frequency vibrato, timbre tremolo,
decay, attack, strings.) a composition would sound in a new fashion.
This instrument can be successfully used in a variety ensembles.
The elegent package made out of aluminium alloy and is covered with
artificial leather. It is well protected by the light and firm case.

"I did some sampling the past weeks and finally now can program some patterns with the new drum instruments.
It's fun to learn tuning a drum set, miking it the correct way and finally producing some fat sounds...."

KiNK with The Ribbon

Uploaded by kink303 on Nov 28, 2011

"I generate the sound with "The Ribbon" (I use its internal sine wave source). I record / overdub the audio in Ableton with the help of Launchpad. The tones are slightly out of tune, because there is no pitch quantization on the instrument."

KiNK session with the MFB Orchestra

video upload by kink303 Uploaded by kink303 on Jan 8, 2012

"this is a composing session with MFB Uzrwerg Pro, MFB Microzwerg, MFB Synth II and MFB 522. Both solo synths are going through Line 6 Echo Park delay, everything goes into a mini mixer by Behringer and ends up recorded on Revox A77 reel to reel recorder. The sound on the video comes from the tape, in the beginning you can hear old sessions, which werent completely erased and they mix with the new recording:) Its all analog (beside the delay). I use the Urzwerg to make sequences on the fly for the Microzwerg and the Synth II. The 522 drummachine is synced to the rest and i use its built in sequencer."

KiNK in the lab with Leploop and Memory Man with Hazari

Published on Sep 26, 2012 by kink303

"Hi! Here is an excerpt of a session with the lovely Leploop, which goes through Electroharmonix Memory Man with Hazari. The full session is 33 min. long, my current youtube account doesn`t let me upload it. (pls. tell me if you know a solution) I decided to make an edit with few chosen parts. This is a quick overview of some part of the sounds you can produce with this setup. However, Leploop have much more to offer, so more full lenght videos with a bit more stripped down approach will be recorded. Stay tuned:)"
