Top two pics: "LinnDrum Surface, a drumbeat-oriented control surface for use with computer. At right is the same surface built into a Windows-based computer. Note the pressure- and position-sensitive touch sliders that eventually made their way into Tempest. This one was something Dave Smith and I considered on the way to Tempest."
Bottom two: "two drum machine design ideas."
The MetroGnome reminds me of KORG's Monotribe design. Looking at the top pic of the Tempest with title screen reminds me how I wish all synths had a ridge to rest a tablet device on.
No external effects were used - it was a single patch recorded inside Magellan and then just exported from iTunes. So far I'm really impressed with what this synth is capable of!
"More patching fun with the Doepfer sel. switch, using the raw outputs from the Drum Dokta.
Bleep Labs Nebulaphone, Midi in through Vermona qMI driving two detuned from one another Blue Lantern ZTVCO's.
4MS Atoner, Make Noise Maths and several other modules used.
This was after a four hour module re-arrange session in preparation for the Doepfer A-152 module arrival.
That's right, I posted the arrival / test video first, just to see if y'all are paying attention."
"A quick demonstration of the extensive customization made to a Roland TR-606 Drumatix, culminating in a serious tool for drum machine junkies, addicts, fetishists and worshipers. More than 50 new real-time analog features are housed in a dark walnut console. Contact for inquiries."
"By adding a simple circuit, the Pocket Mini Computer can become a fun midi synthesizer. The SIDSynth takes MIDI input from a midi device to play Commodore-style SID tones on your PMC. Propellerpowered.com" Only $39.00.
"The Pocket Mini Computer is a small and versatile computer running a full featured BASIC interpreter with 32K of ram. It will work with a standard VGA monitor and PC compatible keyboard. Because the Pocket Mini Computer has its own built in microSD memory card slot and BASIC language you need nothing more to start writing and running BASIC programs. A Wii(TM) compatible gameport as well as stereo audio output create a compelling enviroment to write programs and games.
The Pocket Mini Computer consists of two interlocking boards, A CPU board, and an I/O board. The CPU board arrives pre-assembled. The I/O board is an easy-to-assemble kit which can be assembled by a beginner in a single evening.
The design and firmware, including the BASIC interpreter for the Pocket Mini Computer is freely distributed and may be modified to meet your needs.
