Boucle Technoïde #2 powered by Make Noise / Doepfer / TipTop Audio
Published on Oct 26, 2012 by modularsquare
"Ce Make Noise DPO est une petite merveille d'oscillateur, il génère des textures variées, étranges et musclées allant de "la porte qui grince" à "ballon de baudruche frotté", sans oublier toute une gamme de sons organiques qui font du bien dans le bas du ventre quand ça passe par des enceintes dignes de ce nom.
Un module 100% analogique, blindé de vactrols magiques pour les oreilles humaines.
- Make Noise : DPO (Oscillateur) + Echophon (Delay/Pitch Shifter)
- TipTip Audio : BD808 (kick) 909CP (clap) Hats808 (hiHat) Z8000 (séquenceur)
- Doepfer : A-142-4 (Quad Decay) A-160 (Clock Divider) A-180 (Multiple)

Yamaha Synth MX61 & MX49 Introduction
Published on Oct 26, 2012 by yamahacorporation
"MX Serie Synthesizer Introduction with Adrian Zalten: MX61 & MX49"
And Interview with Hans-Joachim Roedelius of Kluster / Cluster & Eno
Hans-joachim Roedelius birthday is today, October 26. Fabricio Carvalho wrote in on The MATRIXSYNTH Lounge to let us know he has an interview up on Astronauta Pinguim here. It's a fascinating read so do not miss it.
On the instruments first used: "We used electric organs, cello, guitar, kneeviola, tonegenerators, echomachines and many mostly selfbuilt little electronic devices in the beginning. Brian when he came to our place brought one of the first synths that existed at the time but nothing else, so he played this synth, guitar, bass and he sang. It was not him who produced that album it were the four of us first with/on a fourtrack tapemachine that Michael Rother provided..."
BTW, after you finish the interview, be sure to check out his others. You can find them by doing a quick search on "Interview" on the top left Blogger search box on the site. You'll find interviews with John Eaton, Gershon Kingsley, Hereb Deutsch, Vince Clarke and more.

"Flowers for Malala" (Instrumental tribute)
Published on Oct 24, 2012 by TimeSynthis
This one in via TimeSynthis: "All Ensoniq SD-1/32 and percussion on Alesis Performance Pad Pro."
"I'm dedicating this song as a salute to the bravest girl in the world, a 15 yr old school girl, Malala Yousafzai, who was a victim of extreme terrorism, all because she had the courage to speak out for woman's rights for education. God Bless you Malala! We pray for your recovery!
A little melody I played over a rhythm in 11/16, mallets play in 10/16 over the 11/16, but not always. I played percussion first on the Alesis PP Pro Pads (with drum sticks), added mallets and a moog lead voice, both played on an Ensoniq SD-1/32, All parts played live by myself, (no sequencing or midi clock)
Original Instrumental work by Jack Girouard (2012)"

1980 ELECTRO HARMONIX EH0400 MINI SYNTHESIZER

via this auction
" For your consideration is this vintage 1980 Electro Harmonix Mini-Synthesizer EH 0400 synth. Completely intact, including all original multi-colored rubber switch tips, this particular example is a very good simple-sounding analog monosynth, with the ability to slip it into a laptop protective case and transport it anywhere.
The membrane buttons/keys are well preserved, and have not been damaged. The plastic case exterior is also in perfect structural condition with no cracks. The internal speaker is intermittent, but it works fine with the aux. 1/8" output jack.
This particular example is in very nice all original condition and features: a single analog VCO, a single Pulse waveform, an octave divider, a dedicated LFO for a Pulse-Width-Modulation effect, an analog filter, a sweep and phase rate with cutoff controls, as well as in/out of phase, resonance and filter switches."
