This image just went up. I thought it was a good follow-up to the previous post. Note the vintage oscillators and tape incorporated with modern gear including the synthesizers.com modular.

"A Dark Ambient Improvisation.
The Guitar is being processed by Guitar Rig and fed into the Ableton Looper plug-in.
The Modular is droning away with the Ian Fritz Chaos module providing most of the modulation, while my own Enigma module provides some extra chaotic modulation and random gates."

"This is an ARP 3620 keyboard for the ARP 2600 synthesizer. The 3620 improved on the older 3604P keyboard, adding two-voice polyphony, an LFO, portamento, envelope retrigger, octave transpose, and other features that greatly expanded the sound palette of the 2600. This particular unit is in very nice condition. It was serviced and recalibrated earlier this year by an experienced ARP tech, and it plays great with no problems whatsoever..."
Some good news on the eBay front. eBay now appears to keep ended auction listings all the way back through 2011! One question I commonly get is how much I think a given synth is worth. The answer is it depends on condition, supply and demand, and who's looking, but the easiest thing to do is to see what it went for on eBay. The problem until now was that eBay only kept ended listings up for 90 days. Well, it appears they have now made listings available all the way back through 2011. If you are curious what a given synth might fetch, search for it and the word auction on the top left here on MATRIXSYNTH and take a look at some listings. Remember to sort by date when the results come up if you want to view posts in order. You can also check out the condition items when for via the pics and descriptions.
