Simple Sequencer module demonstation -- Sagittronics -- Charlie Slick

"a demonstration of a simple sequencer I built, based on the 4017 chip, 'baby sequencer' schematics, and a MFOS sequencer schematic. The sequencer is controlling the picture of 1 oscillator and the cuttoff frequency of my synthesizers.com state variable filter. The speed and gate is controlled by a 8038 LFO module I built.
incidentally, my kettle started to boil by the end of this video."
VERMONA fourMulator Quad Modulation Engine Details

Modulators (LFOs)
Each modulator offers six wave forms: ascending and descending saw tooth, square, triangle, sine and random (sample & hold) with a frequency range between 0.05Hz (20 seconds) to approx. 100Hz. Each modulator offers wave form and trigger outputs, the latter sending an impulse with every new start of the selected wave form. Reset- and CV-inputs allow external parameter manipulation - from other modules or from other modulators of the fourMulator itself.
Synchronization
All four modulators work independently. However, they can be synchronized with each other. Each modulator can be individually synchronized to the left neighboring module or to a clock-reference.
Two or more synchronized modulators always oscillate at the same frequency. However, a synchronized modulator can be phase-shifted by up to 180° (a half-cycle) to the clock-reference. This allows easy creation of counter-rotating modulations. More complex modulations can be achieved using the CV-input to manipulate phase-shift.
With active clock-synchronization, the corresponding modulators oscillate in reference to a common clock-signal, but use individual clock-dividing factors. Again, advanced possibilities result from being able to manipulate clock-division through the modules' CV-inputs.
Both forms of synchronization can be combined. With one modulator being synchronized to a clock signal, it may as well serve as reference to the right neighboring modulator.
CLOCK Generator (CLK)
fourMulator integrates an internal clock generator. Its tempo can be assigned using a tap-tempo-button or by using an external clock-reference."

"Here is a demonstration by Jason Amm (Solvent), to give you an idea of how the batteryACID module sounds processing synths! This includes feeding audio-rate FM into the module's Distortion-CV-in. In every example, you will first hear the dry sound, followed by batteryACID processed versions of the same sound. You can read the batteryACID setting descriptions. The settings on the synth sound/sequence are never modified (unless noted) - all tonal changes are strictly derived from the batteryACID."

Haken Audio Firmware 5.50 Update
via Haken Audio:
"We are pleased to announce a new firmware version for the Continuum Fingerboard, version 5.50.
Internal EaganMatrix Presets
The number of carefully crafted internal preset sounds has been increased by 16. Included in these new sounds are designs using the new timbre elements available in the GrainSilo. An audio example of the incredible VlnVlaCelBass sound can be found here:
"the sound uses the predefined timbre data in the Continuum Fingerboard to create a bowed string sound that works over a wide pitch range."
Expanded Delays
Delay data can be by-voice, or shared with all voices, or directly influencing a formula. This expanded control delay can be many seconds long. Nyquist filtering available on input to Delay, useful for long (subsampled) delay times. Delays now have individual taps, in addition to main delay output. This multi tap output is good for chorusing, as in the new sound Waterphone Strings, found here [below]. And listen to the haunting delay variations available in the sound Winter Skipping Pond, found here:"
"This is a single sawtooth like oscillator with chorusing and convolution through a mix of two waterphone impulse responses."
"This sound is a single live performance on the Continuum. The sound uses a summed delay feedback circuit that is heard through two separate filter banks, creating a tonal pitch base even when the delay line changes up.
New Oscillator Integrator
The new intergrator available makes it possible to recreate the spectrum of a sawtooth oscillator, which is useful for synthetic timbres such as this one found here:
"First part of first movement of Bach's Cello Suite, using the EaganMatrix Trautinium sound."
Master Section
There are now two convolutions now instead of one. One is before the reverb, and the other is after. And there are more response choices for convolution, with the ability to morph between up to 4 of these responses.
Version 5.50 firmware is available for free in the resources section of the Haken Audio site. Before using the new firmware we recommend you check out the newly-revised user guides for the Continuum, EaganMatrix, and CVC."
Join the Continuum User Group!
"There is a Yahoo group related to all things Continuum. This is a great place to interact with other Continuum owners and Haken Audio's Lippold and Ed. We encourage you to be a part of this by joining: Haken Continuum Yahoo Group We'd like to get your input on the forum!"
