2nd day with Spectralis II (old video)

"Just to demonstrate what one can do at a point when:
1) They understand nothing about subtractive synthesis, samplers, analog/virtual analog/digital gear, or grooveboxes.
2) They just receive the Spectralis II.

I had purchased this back in March 2011, I made this video a few days later thinking I was awesome with the spectralis. I don't think I was. But for those who think this thing is an impossible synth/groovebox, I think out of the box it's fairly manageable."

"Automated generative music on my modular synth.
In 2000 I bought a large CNC lathe from a sheet metal maintenance plant in Weirton, West Virginia. The large steel complex was quite impressive and is the inspiration for this music. After hours of patching the synth, I was struck by the metallic properties of the sounds coming from the instrument. Hence the Weirton Steel Town title.
The wonderful photograph at the end is from the City Of Weirton's web page at www dot cityofweirton dot com. A very nice place to visit and I'm sure - to live as well."
