Subatomic Software Updates "Audulus" for Mac and iPad to v2.2 – New Audio Engine, 64-bit support on Mac
Published on Aug 1, 2013 audulus·7 videos
"Subatomic Software has announced the release of Audulus 2.2 for iPad and Mac. Audulus 2.2 introduces the new AudioKernel™ engine, providing immediate improved performance (so users can build bigger more complex patches) as well as a solid foundation for future performance improvements and new features. For a given patch, CPU load will be reduced by up to 35%.
'This is only phase one of the new engine,' explains Audulus developer W. Taylor Holliday. "Future versions will not only offer performance improvements, but also new features, like single-sample feedback loops and more efficient handling of polyphony."
The Mac stand-alone and Audio Unit versions of Audulus now run in 64-bit, for compatibility with Logic Pro X.
Audulus for iPad is available on the App Store for $9.99, 30% off to celebrate the new AudioKernel™ engine. [App Store Link]
Audulus for Mac is available on the Mac App Store for $29.99 [App Store link]
For more information, visit audulus.com."

"Little patch thrown together to demonstrate a few things. Lower 250e running in continuous mode under v30.6 works well with stepped input from the 251e. Compare this to the cruddy timing in my Butcher Reverb vid. Many thanks to Darren for pushing this fix through."

"The two sections may be overlaid or used separately, with control via the central balance slider. Many features such as Portamento, Interval, Hold etc. are foot switchable via inputs on the front panel. Naturally, the all important Voltage Controlled Filter is in residence, as is a Portamento control. Velocity Response/Touch Sensitivity is controlled by a 3 way switch. All in all, this unit is ideal for those Soundmeisters seeking to distance themselves from the all too common sameness of the modern digital era."
