Module Spotlight 2: Mark's 5x5 Matrix Sequencer v0.2

video upload by audulus

"Free download in the Mac and iPad App Stores: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/audulus...

The subject of the second Module Spotlight is Mark's new 5x5 Matrix Sequencer. This is a beta version, though it is closed to being finished, and will be included in a future update of Audulus 4.

You can download this module and patch at the Audulus Discord!

All 4 voices are controlled by different aspects of the sequencer - two 5-note chord voices controlled by the poly sum of 5 X and Y sequences, and 2 mono lead voices, one taken from the XY point and the other from a Y-sequencer."

Module Spotlight 1: stschoen's Ding v1.1

video upload by audulus

"Download Audulus for free for Mac and iPad and download this module here: https://forum.audulus.com/t/a4-ding-a...

Free download in the Mac and iPad App Stores: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/audulus...

The subject of the first Module Spotlight is Audulus user stschoen's Ding v1.1. Here is his description of the module from his forum post:

This is a bell simulator based on physical modeling. It uses a series of resonant low-pass filters tuned to the partials measured from one of the bells in Winchester cathedral. The module is excited by a pulse on the gate input. There are controls for the pitch, detuning, decay rate and tone. It can be used as a pitched voice by using an external 1 per octave input (o) with the pitch and detune controls set to center. The module features a stereo output created by panning the partials with a pair of LFOs. This one is a bit heavy on CPU because of the filters but I really like the sound.

The patch is called 'Coral' by Mark Boyd aka Bimini Road, and available on the Audulus forum as well."

Audulus 4 for iOS & MacOS

Audulus 4 iOS Preview Vieos

Audulus 4 macOS Preview Videos

video uploads by audulus

"Download Audulus for FREE on Mac and iOS here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/audulus...

The free version of Audulus allows you to load and use patches. You can purchase the editing ability in-app for $19.99.

BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA — After over four years of development and extensive user testing, Audulus LLC is pleased to release Audulus 4, a massive update to the modular synthesis app. Audulus 4 offers many new features, and is free to try out and play any patch. This enables sharing of patches on a much greater scale.

New features include:

- Full multitouch on iPadOS: Turn on performance mode and interact with multiple controls at once. Create multitouch performance surfaces.
- Custom UI for math expressions.
- Knob colors and icons.
- New UI nodes like sliders and X-Y pads.
- Modules can now be recursively exposed. Build front-panels out of other front panels.
- Improved search experience in the module browser.
- MIDI output via a MIDI Send node.
- You can pinch to zoom while dragging a connection or moving a module.
- AUv3 versions on both iPadOS and macOS.
- Canvas Node: Build custom user interfaces using the Lua programming language.
- GLSL Shader node: Make advanced shadertoy-style graphics.

“Audulus 4 represents a massive step forward for Audulus, which required a tremendous re-working of the code,” said Audulus developer Taylor Holliday. “The user interface is now more pro while still being immediate and approachable.”

Audulus 4 includes a rebuilt module library to showcase the new features. Users can use Eurorack-style modules from the library to have a classic modular synth patching experience. “Audulus is unique in seamlessly combining Eurorack-style patching with lower level signal graphs.” said Audulus sound designer Jerry Smith. “You can build advanced modules in Audulus without needing to know programming languages such as C++.”

Audulus 4 is available now as a free download on the Mac and iPad App Stores. Patch editing is an in-app purchase upgrade for $19.99 USD."

Mutable Instruments Plaits Audulus Drum Machine

Published on Nov 25, 2018 audulus

"This video is a short demonstration of Audulus' power to sequence the Mutable Instruments Plaits as if it were a drum machine using an Expert Sleepers ES-8.

Audulus sequences the CV changes for pitch and model to Plaits and triggers it in patterns.

You could do this with another hardware sequencer, but it would require at least 3 separate lanes to sequence everything. With enough outputs, you can even take control of every single Plaits parameter on a per-step basis.

You can also effect your drums on a per-step basis, sending your hat to a delay while you send you kick to an overdrive.

This video also features the Roland 512 VCO and 505 VCF, as well as the Erica Synths Fusion Tube Mixer.

Published on Jun 17, 2018 junklight

"still working towards a live set. Audulus and the Seq is a great combination - three separate midi channels controlling three different voices - the top 4 lanes all feed into the same mono voice giving an ever evolving pattern...

the faders are controlling the Audulus patch

attempting to have less notes in my music too :-)

Also I moved some stuff around to get a slightly less cluttered video......"

Audulus 3.5 for Mac Adds Hundreds of New Modules

"Audulus LLC is proud to announce the release of Audulus 3.5 for Mac. This update introduces a new wire highlighting feature and hundreds of new and improved modules.

Audulus 3.5 adds a new wire highlighting feature. When you click on a node or module, all of its output wires remain bright while all others are dimmed. This makes tracing connections much easier. You can highlight groups of nodes and modules as well.
