Roland SH-101+KORG Volca Beats(Sync Sequence)

Published on Oct 15, 2013 yoshitb303r·41 videos

"Roland SH-101で打ち込んだシーケンス・パターンを
Volaca BeatsのSyncケーブルで同期演奏してみました。
VolcaのSync信号はヴィンテージのSH-101にも問題なく同期しますよ☆
これは面白いですね^^
I played the sequence pattern that I devoted myself to in Roland SH-101 with Sync cable of Volaca Beats in the same period. SH-101 of the vintage does not have any problem, too, and the Sync signal of Volca synchronizes.
This is interesting.

'Psychoactive' OMNICHORD SYNTHESIZER for SPACE-GUN-BUNNY (October 2013)

"Epic Circuit Bent Synthesizer, built from a vintage Omnichord & a Monotron Delay.

This machine contains an array of new circuitry designed to twist, warp, disrupt & distort the sounds of the Monotron & the Omnichord.

There's way too much stuff to show in this vid, so I'll probably make another vid to explore the more mellow side of this machine..
In the meantime, this vid is basically an orgy or weird & experimental electronic glitch & filtered noise.

This machine belongs to my friend in America - Mister 'Space-Gun-Bunny'

http://www.youtube.com/user/SpaceGunB...

-----------

Want more details? -

Loads of servicing on the actual Omnichord - lots of new little caps to remove most of the annoying clicks from the triggers. New amp circuits and individual outputs for the separate channels (drums, chord/bass, harp). A little built-in mixer to send the separate channels to the monotribe.

'Monotribe Delay' provides nice interesting VCF & Delay (based on a PT2399 design). I've bolted it next to the Harp-Plate, so that it can be played easily. It can also be modulated by the Omnichord, courtesy of my little DIY step-sequencer.
I particularly like the twisted up delay sounds that can be had from this design - it's a very unique sound.

Regards to the Omnichord mods -

+There's touch-points, for playing lovely squarewaves from inside the machine.
+There are knobs for tweaking the Analog Drums.
+There's switches above the rhythms buttons, so that the rhythms can be combined with each other for making interesting new rhythm weidness.
+A patch-bay allows brand new rhythms to be created.
+Separate volume knob for the BASS tone.
+Glitch Mods, to amaze.

The Monotribe required a little modding too - had to add a 'resonance' knob for the VCF, and also came up with an interesting mod to generate some fascinating distortion (see later vid).

This was a very experimental project, tried lot's of interesting new circuits with this machine. Also had a few problems along the way - I put alot of effort into building a new 'clock' circuit for the machine, so that I could Sync it to my monotribe. Unfortunately it still has a few bugs, so I'm cheating a little, and using the Trigger Pulse from the Omnichord's hit-hat as a Clock signal to sync the Monotribe :)

Anyway, this is the crazy vid.... I'll post a mellow vid as a response soon."

Spektro Komplex - New MaxforLive Buchla Style FM Synthesizer - Promo Codes!

"About: Spektro Komplex is a MaxforLive monophonic synthesizer designed to create complex and unique sounds.

Like the Buchla 261e module, Komplex uses two oscillators to produce FM sounds. What really makes this synth stand out is it's habilities to morph the waveform of the first oscillator (carrier) and use a different waveform for the second oscillator (modulator).

The frequency of the second oscillator (modulator) is calculated based on the operation:

Oscillator 1 Frequency (operation) Ratio = Oscillator 2 Frequency

For example: If the frequency of the first oscillator is 220Hz, the operation is set to multiplication, and the ratio is set to 2, the frequency of the second oscillator will be 440Hz. A variable offset can also be added to the resulting frequency.

3 different effects that can be used to further manipulate the sound:

- Shape: fold, wrap or clip the signal.

- Overdrive

- Spread: creates a stereo-widening effect by delaying the right channel.

You can use Spektro Komplex to create anything from classic FM bass to metallic percussion sounds. It's also a great tool for sound designer who want to create complex synthetic sounds."

"Ultra rare! This is one killer all analog monosynth by Macbeth Studio Systems. 3 oscillator madness, will give any Moog or Arp a run for their money. I've had arps and moogs and this one has it's own character. One note is that the Oscillator 1 knob should be cleaned since it is a little scratchy. Other than that, everything works great and sounds fantastic, especially the filter!.."

Emulator II noodling - Oct 2013

"A quick demo of one of my 'vintage sampler' setups in my currently very messy studio. The E-mu Emulator II is a classic '80s machine, and one of my favorite samplers. With a Macintosh SE and a Macintosh Classic running Sound Designer. Rhythms by LinnDrum. The effects are Lexicon model 200 reverb and AMS DMX15-80S delay. Tracked on a 1984 Soundcraft Series 1600 24ch. mixing console."

"A quick and dirty video about digitally-controlled oscillators [based on the Juno-106], how they work, and how easy it is to make one.

Here's a great article I found that explains them in further detail, with schematics: http://sequence15.blogspot.com/2008/0...

In the next episode, I'll go into more detail about oscillators in general, and why I really like this one."
