Sync-Shift ITB Added to Sync-Gen II

via Innerclock Systems

"Selecting the new Sync-Shift ITB Option Menu provides settings that allow you to delay the Start Position of Sync-Gen II relative to the DAW Tempo-Grid in precise rhythmic divisions. This unique feature allows you to set a full two bars start delay for your external tempo-sync hardware if you wish to give your DAW project a traditional ‘count-in’ period when tracking externally sequenced audio. Applying more complex combinations of offset values also allows for further creative external hardware syncopation by delaying the external start in rhythmically interesting ways."

Space...And Beyond...Vol...2 by Velvet Voyage aka Bruno Ender Lee

http://brunoenderlee.bandcamp.com

Most of you should recognize Bruno Ender Lee from his videos featuring some impressive synth spotting here on MATRIXSYNTH.  He has just released a new compilation album titled Space...And Beyond...Vol...2  It is currently free for 24 hours.  Normally this post would go up with his next synth spotting video per the site's guidelines, but I thought I'd make the exception so you can grab it now vs. later if you are strapped for cash.  To keep with the site's rules, below are a few of the videos for tracks featured in this release (and of course be sure to check out MATRIXYSNTH-C and The MATRIXSYNTH Lounge now and then for music from readers of MATRIXYSNTH!).

Some notes from Bruno Ender Lee:

"new compilation-album 'Space...and beyond...vol...2' (a collection of tracks from 2010-2013)
will be on Bandcamp. Free download for 24 hrs...

a collection of themes from outer-space, taken from 10 original albums (please note: most of the tracks had been shortened; only this way it is possible to have a glimpse into every album)"

Spooloops March 2013 Jam

"HD will enable better audio.

Thinking of Detroit when I jammed these two out. So much amazing music has come from that city. It's also had so much hardship. When I play these live I'll sometimes add a small processed vocal; "We are with you in your fight, Detroit" Honoring its struggle to keep its democracy in the face of disaster capitalists..

Played on my usual ungainly hardware: Roland MC505--Korg ESX--Yamaha SU700--Mackie 1202. I also use an Electrix Filter."

Squidfanny (Legacy) - 'Trance-Gate' AMSTRAD CKX100 Synthesizers (August 2013)

"The Amstrad CKX100 is a quirky / odd 8-bit machine from the late 1980's. It was designed by the same team of people who were responsible for all those SID based devices, which have since become legendary.

The CKX100 does not contain a SID chip, instead it has a little ROM and a fancy DAC which does all the interesting stuff.

To the untrained eye, the Amstrad probably doesn't look too hot, but with some gentle circuit bending, it can be re-envisioned as something truly fantastical -

These particular 'Trance-Gate' Amstrads represent about 5 years of experimentation and hacking.

I am currently working on a new version of 'Strad, with different sounds & features.
There's something very lovable about these bleepy old machines..."

"Every day is a new discovery on the Buchla Music Easel. This time a little retro electronica. This was recorded directly from a new BEMI Music Easel."
