"Here is a vintage Arp Omni II String/Poly Synth that has been recently serviced by Switched On in Austin, TX. They are a very reputable synth shop that does excellent repair work. They've been working on this guy on and off for almost six months and have gotten it to perform beautifully. As you can see from the repair bill, they have replaced all the electrolytic cap's, replaced several bad transistors/ic's and just fixed any functional problems with it. It is 100% working and sounds amazing! The cosmetics, however, are extremely rough on this one. It has significant rust and corrosion on the exterior, as shown in the photo's. There is corrosion on the inside, but it does not interfere with the electronics. I repeat, the electronics and sound are 100% functional and solid, so if you don't mind an ugly exterior, but beautiful sound coming out of your speakers, then snatch this up because these are becoming very hard to find in working shape."

Sequential Circuits Pro One Synthesizer Turbo CPU MIDI + CV

via this auction
"This amazing synth is in great shape for it's age and includes the Music Technologies Group Turbo CPU, MIDI and CV upgrade! Professionally installed.
Everything works perfectly. There is a slight mechanical noise on the lowest key when pressed but it doesn't effect the triggering. The filter caps were upgraded to polystyrene for stability and superior sound.
The MTG Turbo upgrade includes the following:
musictechnologiesgroup.com
The MTG Pro One Turbo replacement CPU Module is a drop-in replacement microcontroller for the Sequential Circuits Pro One's 8021 CPU (AKA P8021/8021H/P8021H). Features: Plug-n-Play! No soldering required! Supports the original functionality including the sequencer and arpeggiator. Each sequence can be up to 256 steps (compared to total of 40 steps on the original). Sequences are retained in memory even after power-down. The CPU module does not use a battery. Power-on settable parameters for clock start mode, arpeggio up/down end notes, arpeggio down mode and arpeggio gate time. Sequence Tie mode allows for a variety of note lengths. Sequence End mode lets you chain the two sequences. Optional: If you want to make your own MIDI interface, instructions are in the manual. If you want MIDI hardware included, see CPU+MIDI. The above plus a MIDI In/Out interface board that adds the following features*: Firmware update (“re-flashing”) over MIDI (using MIDIOX or similar). Settable MIDI channel. Receive MIDI note data. Monophonic MIDI output of arpeggiator and sequencer data. Polyphonic MIDI output of keyboard data. Arpeggiator and sequencer sync-able to MIDI Sync In (settable clock rate). Load/Save sequence data over MIDI. MIDI In, MIDI Out and optional MIDI Thru. Optional MIDI In/Out activity LEDs. Pads for optional DAC chip (see CV option below). Soldering and installation are required for MIDI. Turbo CPU + MIDI + CV (Beta) For the handy DIYers, add a tiny MCP4728 chip to the v2.00 MIDI board (soon to be available pre-installed as well) and analog control over MIDI will be yours! Simply connect it via 2 additional wires from the MTG Turbo CPU and then tie into the Pro one using 4 CV wires. No trace cutting or case butchering! See the firmware and manual(s) below. All you need is the MCP4728 chip, some wire and solder. Four 12-bit digital-to-analog converters. Supports MIDI Pitch Bend receive including setting the range/sensitivity using RPN. Control of Filter Cutoff and/or Resonance. LFO2 with multiple waveforms (Square, Saw, Triangle, Sine, including Sample & Hold). LFO2 range from 0.1Hz to 10Hz (10 seconds/cycle to .1 seconds/cycle). ... and more!?"

HDB Audio DRM 2 Mini Syncussion Analog Kick Drum Bass Synth

HDB was related to TBS, MAM, and Vermona. Not sure what the exact relationship was. If anyone knows, feel free to share. It is interesting to see the HDB label only on this unit. Curious if any other synths have the label. Speaking of, I realize I had a channel label for the others here on the site, but not HDB, so I added it starting with this post. Click here for a search that will bring up previous HDB posts.
Update: worth noting is the engineer behind TBS and MAM was Stefan Schmidt of the new Schmidt poly analog monster synth as mentioned here.

Clavia Nord Lead 2X

Did you know the original Nord Lead was loosely based on the Sequential Circuits Prophet-5? It actually came loaded with the Prohpet-5 presets. They are not an exact match, but more of an approximation. The Nord Lead has a sharper, cleaner, more aggressive sound and definitely has a character of its own. An interesting side note is Clavia scrapped the original Nord Lead engine for the Nord Lead 3 which had a completely different character, but they then returned to the original Nord sound with their follow-up synths.

Sequential Circuits Six Trak

"SCI Six Trak, rescued from a Florida pawn shop in 1994. This is a good entry-level vintage analog synth, with MIDI. New memory battery installed in 12/2013, all factory patches restored. Everything works, sounds great. Not as knobby as other vintage synths, but all the synth parameters can be controlled with MIDI control channels or SysEx with a slider bank or a DAW." Note on the Six-Trak you select a parameter and then edit with a knob much like on the Moog The Source or JX-3P (slider).

Akai AX73 Analogue Synth Plus Akai x7000 Sampler

via this auction
"Akai AX73 analogue synthesiser
The AX73 is a surprisingly good analog synthesizer that is still considered to be widely underrated and deserving of some recognition. It's a six voice analog synthesizer with an almost identical architecture to Akai's AX60 keyboard. It has one oscillator (VCO) per voice and allows for 3 playing modes: Poly mode uses one VCO per voice for six voice polyphonic pads, chords and strings. Dual-VCO mode stacks 2 VCOs per voice for a thicker three-voice sound. Unison mode stacks all six VCOs onto one monophonic voice for a screamin' lead!
Akai X7000 sampler
The X7000 has about the same sampling features as the rack-mount S-900, which were great in 1986. Variable 12-bit sampling up to 40kHz, 128K RAM for storing only a few seconds worth of samples and a complete suite of basic sample editing functions including looping, auto-looping, truncating, multi-sampling and re-sampling capabilities, tuning and so on. It even features a few dedicated parameter buttons above the keyboard for quick access to the LFO and other modulations.
This sampler sounds pretty good. It's got a lo-fi edge due to the fact that it's only a 12-bit rather than 16-, 20- or 24-bit sam
Both work perfectly. I have the system disk for the x7000 but no library sound disks there is some rusting on the panel below the mod wheel on the x7000 which is where I assume coffee cups have been placed in the past."

Oberheim DX 1983 Drum Machine with Stretch

via this seller: "This comes with 4 extra chips, and this has the factory DX chips in it. The stretch cost me $1000 alone! This only came with 6 sounds and I sent this back to the factory and they put the stretch on that expanded the 4 sounds added the 6 sounds to make it now 10 sounds, and also it added a Midi. This comes with a total of 10 chips. All 10 channels have sounds."
Also apparently the Soft Cymbal trigger button only works after hitting the Medium or Loud.
