MINISTRY 'Same Old Madness' 1982 (unreleased track pre-'With Sympathy')
Uploaded on Feb 2, 2012
Moog Opus 3 for strings, Moog The Source for solo sounds. Vocals remind me of early Cure & the sequence reminds me of Spandau Ballet's To Cut a Long Story Short (see if you can ID the synth below).
This one in via El Estereo on The MATRIXSYNTH Lounge, via Dangerous Minds here you'll find where you'll find an article on early Ministry. Cleopatra Records is coming out with an expanded reissue of Ministry’s Twelve Inch Singles 1981-1984 collection.
Video description:
"Same Old Madness - Unreleased single and video from 1982. Originally intended to be a single in the spring of 82. Video was shot before Al signed to Arista. I remastered the audio in attempting to get highest quality of this video out there. I got it dubbed onto VHS in 1997 by a really good video collector who had a access to a pristine copy, that i took special care of myself and rarely played. Needless to say, i knew how much of fucking gem this video is. From my personal VHS archive of rare Goth & Industrial music videos and live performances. Archived and circulated through years VHS tape trading and Video collecting."

ROLAND UNVEILS SH-2 PLUG-OUT SOFTWARE SYNTHESIZER Press Release & Details
Official press release including pics added to this post. According to the specs: Maximum Polyphony
1 voice. Curious if that's due to lack of processing power for polyphony, or the desire to make it like the original. Poly mode would be nice. One of the reasons why the Creamware Minimax & ProOdyssey are so desirable.

Header soldering using no wash low flux/rosincore solder. Quick demo
Published on Sep 18, 2014 LowGainElectronics
"Just showing a friend how to solder in headers with a rosincore or no wash based solder without using added flux. Nothing fancy. Typically on a board like this I would use a water Wash based solder and liquid flux. But for this example I wanted to show it can be done cleanly using no wash or rosin core. On this particular board there is a lot of copper you contend with so it is better to use flux and have the ability to clean the board after soldering is complete."

Ultravox Vienna Manx Destiny V2
Published on Sep 18, 2014 manxsynthesizers
"All sounds from the Manx Destiny v2 synthesizer.
External effects have been applied to all parts; mainly VST compatible reverb and EQ (The Destiny v2 does not feature these effects on board.)
The Destiny v2 is not your best choice when recreating a grand piano part.
Manx Destiny Retail version now available - $49 (introductory price).

Mix Notes:
Please note that this entire mix has been created with Acid Pro 6. Lexicon Pantheon is the only reverb used.
The computer used is an ancient Dell Inspiron laptop (1 gig ram) running XP, with no fancy sound card.
The entire mix has been brightened and bass-boosted.
Several parts have been recorded twice and mixed together. Polyphonic parts were created layer by layer (W Carlos style).
Because of the limitations of the hardware, I had to do a lot of bouncing, in order to maintain recording at 24bit 48Khz, making the development of this demo particularly difficult."
