The Harvest by Duff Egan
All recordings for The Harvest were made with the DSI Prophet 12.
"The Harvest is inspired by my oldest dog turning 13 years old this month. He's a RedHeeler mix and had an active and high impact life, his joints are paying for it. He's starting to lose weight and fade into the other side and it's no fun.
It provides a powerful opportunity to reflect on the cycles, patterns, rhythms and temporal uncertainty of life; and the value of shared experience and sustained relationships. There have been times when my responsibility to my dogs was the major grounding factor in my life, on more than a few occasions, and I don't think I'd be here today without them.
The Harvest is a humble attempt to acknowledge the importance of embracing the inevitability and great mystery of existence.
'Meaninglessness inhibits fullness of life and is therefore equivalent to illness. Meaning makes a great many things endurable--perhaps everything.... There is nothing about this World that could not be considered known and human, except for the manner in which it confronts us spontaneously and places obligations upon us. It is not affected by the arbitrary operation of our will. We cannot explain an inspiration. Our chief feeling about it is that it is not the result of our own ratiocinations, but that it came to us from elsewhere.'

"TTSH synthesizer in steel case. This is a modern clone of the classic ARP 2600 semi modular synthesizer, 73% scale, with illuminated faders. Manufactured in June 2014 by professional synth builder. Standard configuration, no mods. The original front panel suffered some damage and has been replaced with a brand new panel. As you can see from the photos, there are some scratches at the bottom on the front of the case, but otherwise this TTSH is in excellent condition. All functions have been tested and the synth is fully calibrated. This TTSH includes a medium decay reverb tank, matching the spec of the original 2600. A high quality external Cincon PSU is also included.

"This Juno 106 was completely overhauled by the Synthspa: voice chip repair, battery holder change, blue LEDs with light bender, power supply recap, and loaded it with some of the best Juno 106 patches around.
Once I had it back I had another company, Dick Malibu do a fantastic paint job on it. This is real paint--not a sticker job.
Condition-wise it looks near perfect. If you look very closely you can see a few blemished and some the touch up work, but from a standing distance the body looks near perfect!"
