Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream passed away on January 20 at age of 70.

We lost one of the early pioneers of electronic music.

"According to official Tangerine Dream website, Edgar Froese died suddenly in Vienna on 20th January 2015 from pulmonary embolism. His son Jerome made the following announcement:

'Dear friends & colleagues, the Captain has left the ship ... I'm very sorry to inform you that my father Edgar Froese passed away on Tuesday afternoon (20th of January) in Vienna. And as you already know: Life plays no encores. Rest in peace Edgar, you will be sadly missed.'"

This is a message to you we are very sorry for…

On January 20th, Tuesday afternoon, Edgar Froese suddenly and unexpectedly passed away from the effects of a pulmonary embolism in Vienna.

The sadness in our hearts is immensely.

Edgar once said: “There is no death, there is just a change of our cosmic address."

Edgar, this is a little comfort to us.

3 custom Forat SP1200s in red, silver and black via Soquelle. Along with a Minibrute SE they were used in their latest track "There Is No Tomorrow" below.

"The backbone of the track was composed during a live jam syncing the three Emu Sp1200s & a Minibrute for the bass. Then layered on top was some keys & saxophone, adding the vocals last."
