RCA Theremin & Talking Machine

"The theremin in this video is the instrument that once belonged to Julius Goldberg, the partner and personal assistant of Russian inventor Leon Theremin. This is a 1929 RCA theremin that was customized by Goldberg in the early 1930's and provided with "lightning bolt" volume and pitch antennas. In this video, I am using an ELECTRO-HARMONIX "Talking Machine" on a fixed, open "AH" sound, which lends to the tone a remarkable likeness to a human tenor.

The theremin has often been compared to an "electric soprano" but used with the Talking Machine, it can also be an ELECTRIC TENOR or an ELECTRIC BARITONE!

The composition is the famous tenor aria, NESSUN DORMA, from the opera TURANDOT by Italian composer Giacomo Puccini."

"This is close to a brand new Juno 106 as you can get. The synth is in fantastic condition and is completely fully functioning without defect. It has UK voltage and comes with power lead.

These synths are very rare and there is at least an 8 month waiting list on these synths as they are ordered.

There are currently only 3 'Polar' Junos in the whole world and this is the only one in the Uk.

This is a standard Juno 106 that has been fully restored plus additional features that make this unique.

1. A full panel board restoration. (This solves bad buttons. corroded faders, edit light problems.)

2. Power board restoration. (This solves aging large electrolytic capacitors that are leaking)

3. New battery and removable battery chassis in the CPU board. (You can now replace the battery your self!)

4. Module board restoration - voice chips service. (Guaranteed not to fail, AND socketed for easy removal if need be.)

5. Juno 60 style transistors installed in the analogue signal path on the module board and Jack board.

6. Minor body work and a fresh paint coat to protect the Juno 106.

7. Full calibration across the entire keyboard.

8. A special edition of Synth Spa Sounds for bank A & B, organized by type of sound.

9. Lighted bender, LED's and 2 digit screen changed to White."

"Great working condition Future Retro Revolution 2 synth and sequencer. TB-303 clone, very specific range of sounds, but sounds amazing in that range, with or without overdrive (switch on the back, and switch for saw or square wave). 16 step programmable step-sequencer with 256 random patterns generated per sequence. Has a variety of built in effects, and can filter external audio. Midi and some CV capabilities. 10 year internal battery life (from date of manufacture, unlike the 1 year on version 1, can be replaced after this). Innovative circular design, built like a tank, full metal enclosure. One or two tiny scratches on front towards the bottom (see pic, minor). Comes with original manual and power supply."
