EVI Excerpts by Todd Barton

"A little retrospective of some of my Electronic Valve Instrument stuff:
Much from the 80’s and some from 2000’s. A lot of looped EVI in real time,
some live performances and a few music cues for theater. Enjoy!"

Modular Synth Through Strymon Mobius And BigSky Effects Pedals

Published on Mar 7, 2015 John L Rice

"Just some random knob wiggling on the Strymon Mobius for the most part, sorry for not being more focused and descriptive.

For more of the same audio only a little more refined and with a very nice piece of artwork by Christine Wu to look at, please watch my video 'All That Glitters Is Black And Cold' http://youtu.be/yY95yfBqxts

See Strymon's site for more information on their fantastic line of pedals: http://www.strymon.net/"

TEISCO S-100P ANALOGUE SYNTHESIZER WITH AFTERTOUCH, FLANGER & SPRING REVERB

"Teisco S-100P (very similar to ARP pro soloist and built under license from Arp), along the lines of a Roland SH2000, made in Japan c.1979.
Also known as Kawai S-100P - Aside from branding, both machines are exactly the same.

Beautiful Analogue filter and inbuilt Flanger & Spring Reverb!

32 presets with controls for further modification including keyboard aftertouch for Filter, Vibrato, 'Wow' & 'Brilliance'.

This gives those nice mid 70s Library/ Soundtrack sounding tones. Very full & warm sounding, & works well with external effects. Stick the internal reverb on, put it through a fuzz pedal for some great sounds! Put it through another synth or filter pedal to get more resonant synth tones.

Recently restored and fully working, it is in immaculate condition! Nice and clean end cheeks, control & front panel. The only single defect is that the ‘Mode’ switch is faulty and needs to be replaced / fixed – it still works fine and makes the required parameter change, but is loose and only ‘rests’ in position."
