"Buchla Music Easel - "Pressure Inverted Feedback Patch" experiment.

Patch was inspired by Todd Barton, who had suggested sending CV from the EG into the Easel LPG's: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfSxQ... Using the Inverter for one of the LPG channels - thereby creating a "see saw" effect: as one gate opens, the other closes etc.

In this patch I sent the 218 pressure out to the LPG's, w/the inverter used on ch 2.

I patched an audio feedback loop to ch 2, w/the Mod Osc set to "bal. ext" (modulation slider maxed).

Then tuned both VCO's to unison.... then with careful level adjustments (and reverb mix) - I used the 218 to play notes ... and as I applied pressure, the output would toggle between tuned feedback and principle VCO output.

This unusual synth is essentially a Moog Rogue with a pedal board, different from the Taurus mark 1 as it doesn't feature presets, some will argue this makes it a lesser model, but if you know your way around a synth you can re create the presets of the original machine. This instrument essentially being more versatile. It is a different beast though compared to the original but anyone who downplays the T2 vs the old one just isn't willing to spend the time getting the most out of this great synth."

Introducing ... Vacvac!

"Vacvac is a dual Vactrol based VCA for Eurorack.

The Vacvac uses 2 vactrols per channel to get 80+ dB of attenuation. The Vactrols are trimmed to ensure channel and gain matching, so no channel to channel variation or unit to unit differences. The CV drive circuit is jumper selectable 5 or 10 volts, and the modules unity gain at the max voltage. Also our drive is biased so EGs that have an offset will not open the VCA when they are supposed to be closed.

This is a very musical VCA. It sounds great, and makes really nice drum sounds. Also its soft on/off characteristics means it make a great mute. Use it to switch between 2 different sounds.

This 4HP module has a maximum 60mA current draw. Module depth is 49mm."
