Gear - Eventide Digital Delay - Model 1745 M
Published on Jun 12, 2015 isvisible / isinvisible
"Headphones recommended for stereo delays.
This is a simple sequence playing into the Eventide (via my modular synth).
I panned each of the taps out in a small mixer before putting them as a stereo track in my Alesis Firewire mixer.
The sound is recorded directly from the Alesis.
The Eventide Model 1745 M is a five tap delay with a separate control for programming in each tap length.
The maximum tap length isn't too long, but the taps are so clean that you can get some great effects with just a bit of mucking about.
I didn't do too much mucking about in this video, but you can get some lovely flanging effects etc.
There are 4 main controls (apart from the individual tap settings).
A level in (gain).
A speed for easy control to dial in the right tap length, it runs counting up or down, and at midday it is stationary.
There's a tap length which is either normal or X2, there is no noticeable reduction in quality when in X2 mode.
And there is also a freeze function.
Bass, melody, reverby thing and the strumming sound all provided by a modular synth, and the drums are provided by a Sound Master SR-88 modified with individual trigger in's.
