ADX-1
ANALOG DRUM MACHINE
Mode Machines brought again the ADX 1, a powerful 5 channel Analogue Drum Expander with individual outputs, MIDI control and infinite amount of sound tones thanks to its generous amount of knobs to control its parameters.
The 5 Channels provide different sound palettes.
We saw mention of the Mode Machines ADX1 back in NAMM of 2015. I ran a quick search on the site for ADX1, and there hasn't been much between now and then. The following are some details via Mode Machines. The ADX1 is based on the original MAM ADX1.
"Mode Machines brought again the ADX 1, a powerful 5 channel Analogue Drum Expander with individual outputs, MIDI control and infinite amount of sound tones thanks to its generous amount of knobs to control its parameters.
The 5 Channels provide different sound palettes.

HiHat: HiHat consists of one metallic-sounding noise generator and one “clean” signal, Pitch control, mix, modulation, filter, Envelope modulation, Decay and Release.
Snare: The sound of Snare is created by one metallic-sounding noise generator through two band pass filters connected in parallel, Decay and Release.
Synth: Is used to create sounds like bells or synthesizers and consists of 3 sinus Oscillators. FM and Bend for a wide palette of sounds, Attack and Release.
Bass: Consists of one sinus oscillator, with pitch control. Additional Overtones can be created by frequency modulation. Attack simulates the 'Pluck' of a bass string, Release to control the length and Distortion available for dirtier sounds."

Published on Jun 28, 2016 DX5
Congrats to DX5! :) As regular readers of the site know, DX5's videos have been a mainstay over the years here on MATRIXSYNTH.
"Celebrating DX5 10th anniversary on Youtube. I decided to play not only one but some DM songs and my own tracks (from 'Long Play Three', tracklist details will be updated soon)
Recorded on the same day but in different shots while I was working (placing and removing the camera, then some slight camera variations -axis and light- can be found between takes)
Gear:
Roland JP8000, Emu Emax I, Kurzweil PC1x, Access Virus TI Snow, Roland Promars MRS-2. Backtracks recorded by me and launched on Pro Tools.
Looking forward to the next 20th anniversary"
