Dave Smith Instruments "In the Spotlight with the Prophet 12" with Robert Rich
The second in the Dave Smith Instruments' "In The Spotlight with the PRO 2" series is currently up with Robert Rich here.
"Robert Rich has helped define ambient music, with over 40 albums across four decades. Rich began building his own analog modular synthesizers in 1976, when he was 13, and later studied computer music at Stanford’s CCRMA while researching lucid dreaming. Rich has performed worldwide, and since 1982 his all-night Sleep Concerts became legendary. His 15-hour, Blu-ray Perpetual maintains this tradition. Rich’s sound design graces many films and preset libraries, and as a mastering engineer he has applied his ear to hundreds of albums. His latest release What We Left Behind is available on Bandcamp, CDBaby, and http://robertrich.com."
You can find links to all episodes of DSI's Spotlight series here.
Dave Smith Instruments OB-6 and Sequential Prophet-6 Synthesizer Comparison
Published on Oct 10, 2016 SweetwaterSound
"Daniel Fisher, Sweetwater’s in-house synthesist, does an in-depth side-by-side comparison of the Dave Smith Prophet-6 and OB-6. As the demo will show, there are more similarities between the two synths than differences; but they each have unique features that may make one or the other (or both!) right for your music.
One important note: when the Prophet-6 is updated to OS Version 1.3.1 or higher, it gets two additional Flangers plus a Ring Modulator and a new Phaser, making the effects list of both the Prophet-6 and OB-6 much closer.
Since the sound engine for the Desktop Module versions of each synth are the same as their 49-key versions, this video is appropriate for all four products"

Moses Sumney | Worth It | MOOG SOUND LAB
Published on Oct 10, 2016 Moog Music Inc
"Moses Sumney performs 'Worth It' live in the Moog Sound Lab at Form Festival in Arcosanti.
In a sun-bleached room tucked away in the Sonoran desert, Moses Sumney shapes a lush aural landscape using just a synthesizer, a chain of analog effect pedals, and his voice. Starting with simple snapping and vocal percussion, Moses stacks undulating sonic layers until 'Worth It' reaches an enveloping crescendo of human and electronic sound.
