"This unit is in excellent shape and fully functional. Cosmetically it's in nice shape, the front is very clean but there are some signs of wear so be sure to take a look at the detailed pictures to make sure you like it. The MKS-80 is an awesome sounding analog synth, kind of like a Roland Jupiter 8 in a rack form. Huge pad sounds and warm classic Roland analog tone. Serial number 460537."

Not sure if anyone even cares about the history of this specific unit, but this 100M was previously owned by Haruomi Hosono (Yellow Magic Orchestra). I purchased it directly from him in 2006. He apparently used the 100Ms all over his 'Philharmony' album. Harry claimed it was one of the first 100M synths to leave the Roland facilities.. I believe he was selling 5 of them at the time? He was also the first person to receive a TR-808 and credited as the first to release an album with MC-4 and TR-808, if that means anything. The guy was basically a lab rat for Roland in the late 70s and early 80s..."
