"I picked up the Waves SSL bundle this week while it was on special. Also I managed to find a few hours last night to finally burn upgrade roms for the Eventide H3000. All of this together means I can make something a little more intense and dense then slap a nice SSL emulated bus compressor on the mix and bring it back to sanity. So here it is, not as tuneful as many of my other youtube clips but an interesting experiment."

"This synth sounds killer and has had what appears to be a filter mod as the added control near the mod wheel shows. I'm not sure what was done but it adds an aggressive distortion filter when cranked that is very cool. Everything looks to be stock and overall the board is in good condition for it's age. To issues of note are the 2 missing fader caps which are not a big deal as you can still easily move the sliders with your finger. Also it has 1 key that sticks and has to be pulled back up manually. May be just a bad spring or it may need a new key."

"A quick patch and go... using O&C to generate euclidean patterns, which trigger Quadra envelops. Telharmonic makes a droning foundation, Erica's BW adds some texture, and the Stillson sends CV to Rings for some melodic sounds...."
"Outtake" noodling

"This video is for the three or four people who will enjoy watching it. The rest can move along.
My track 'Around and Back' was originally recorded as a long improvisation. I didn't like the way that turned out, so I used the improvisation as the basis for an organized composition, then re-recorded it using multiple takes.
This video begins at the tail end of the original improvisation. I could tell that it had been a wasted effort, as you can hear in the way I go off the rails at the end. After some twiddling, about two minutes in, I started playing a string pad (XILS V+ plugin) and began a sad, slow improvisation that reflected how I was feeling. The DAW did not capture this audio, but the iPhone camera did.
So this is the impromptu improv shot by the phone. If the DAW had recorded it, I would be presenting it with that audio. But this is all that exists. Sorry.
I just thought it sounded kind of cool, so I decided to share it with the few people who might like it. I don't consider it part of my 'CS-60 series,' so I didn't put that name in the title, and I'm not adding any tags."

"A DIY project in which I have built a custom synth using my much loved MS2000's to create a virtual analogue monster.
Credit to my good friend Roger Barnett for suggesting the name."
