Rebel Technology Chronos mk II Demo
Published on Jul 28, 2017 Rebel Technology
"The Chronos mk II is a dual tap-tempo clock with dual tempo synced LFO. Let Cherif talk you through some of its functionalities."
via Rebel Technology
"Χρόνος is an advanced time-keeping module with dual tap tempo clock, and dual tempo synced LFO. The first function is tap tempo: tap the push button to generate a clock, and adjust the tempo with the knob. The second function is two tempo-synced, low frequency oscillators, each with two waveforms. One LFO provides bipolar sine or triangle wave, the other ramp or sawtooth. Two toggles let you switch between waveforms and one-shot mode.
The two functions can be linked or used independently. By default the LFO is synced to the tap tempo, but an external trigger can be used instead. In one-shot mode it works like an envelope, and the trigger input starts one full period of the LFO.
Χρόνος is Greek for Time, transliterated to English as Chronos.

DreamsOfWires - Arvo Pärt's 'Solfeggio' for 4 Odysseys (Multitracked Korg Arp)
Published on Jul 28, 2017 DreamsOfWires
"Better audio here: https://soundcloud.com/tomorrowthecure
People sometimes asked what synthesizer I used in my original 2009 cover of this composition. I didn't say at the time, but I used 4 instances of the excellent Oddity VST. I always planned to re-record it if ever I got the real thing. Well, I didn't get an original Odyssey, but I've got the Korg version for a while, so I dialed in the same sound and multi-tracked it. The 2009 version had more reverb, and I think that helped it sound a little more choir-like, but I wanted this version to be a little more transparent.
Footage is of my original 'stills video' from my other channel, followed by some winter footage I found on my hard drive.
As usual, no technical or gear questions please, I'm just here for the music. If I don't mention it here, then I don't think it's relevant.
Thanks for your support."
Gotharman AnamonoX Mini with Tube Filter Droning
Published on Jul 27, 2017 Wein Glas
"Beware of the beast!
Gotharman's tiny new modular synth with the additional tube filter might be the smallest tube synth available. But it sounds like a huge monster: Raw, phat, and very "tube-ish"! Drone away and cheers!"

"Clips from documentary 'The Human Factor: The Untold Story of the Bombay Film Orchestras'."

Two videos:
When RD Burman wanted the "Wook! Wook! Wook!" sound
The lord Speaks Promo
And the video descriptions:
"Vintage Hindi film songs are an indispensable part of South Asian popular culture. The onscreen actors who mimed through those songs, the singers, the composers, the songwriters – they are all household names, and many have attained legendary status. But who were those uncredited musicians who made up the orchestras that played on those songs and the background scores?
'The Human Factor' tells the fascinating story of the Lords, a Parsi family of pioneering musicians who collectively worked for over 60 years in Bombay’s film orchestras. But the story of the Lords is not theirs alone. It is also a crucial but obscure chapter in the history of Indian cinema."
