Limaflo - Motomouth *Formant Explorations*

DivKidVideo
Published on Aug 7, 2017

"THIS JUST IN ... formants have taken over my case :S
Well not really, but the Motomouth from Limaflo is great! I'm not planning to do a full overview video with this one as it's not available after the initial Kickstarter (unless enough interest comes about to warrant a run) but I did want to share this patch.
This is just a general patch drone thing I had going but I have got a full patch breakdown exclusively available (very shortly) to patreon supporters. So watch out for that coming soon."

Analog Four - 5 Year Review: why all the early reviews are wrong , and an MKII comparison

loopop
Published on Aug 7, 2017

"The MKII Analog Four was just announced and the price drop in the second hand market prompted me to check out what this was all about. After a deep dive into the feature set, and a retrospective look at the early reviews of the A4, Elektron has added so much to the machine via firmware updates, that what it is now is very different from what it was when it launched"

"'Crazy' was a big hit for Gnarls Barkley back in 2006. Here I play it on Yamaha SY-1 synthesizer and Elka EP-8 organ. The rhythm comes from a Rhythm Ace FR-8L."

DreamsOfWires - Korg Arp Odyssey minimal/drone/whatever...

DreamsOfWires
Published on Aug 7, 2017

"Listen with headphones for best results.
This is a re-recording of a track I originally recorded in 2009 called 'The existing parts 1 and 2' (available on my Bandcamp page), only there's not much left of 'part 2' at this stage. It's a particularly cold, bleak little ditty, less melodic in the conventional sense than most of my efforts, but I was in the mood for re-visiting it. The first three minutes are borrowed from an earlier SH-1 composition I uploaded - [posted here]
The original of 'Existing' was recorded with the Oddity VST, although I can't remember what I used for the closing melody, or the percussive sounds. This version is stripped down to two live recordings - the final part is the Odyssey and a piano app (which will remain nameless) triggered simultaneously from the Arturia Keystep, which I subsequently crossfaded between in the final mixdown.
Recorded in AUM via an iConnectAUDIO4+, using Virsyn's AudoReverb on an iPad Air 2.
The video footage was all filmed by me, mostly using a Lumix GX7"

Eurorack Modular: SMR creating ambient chords with Clouds

Joseph Karmazyn
Published on Aug 7, 2017

"Please pardon the messy Eurorack. A cool patch I just made, the Mother 32 and O-Coast have the same part, due to the KB out of the Mother into the 1VperOct in of the Coast. All of which are heavily processed by Clouds, which is heavily modulated by various LFOs throughout my system."

Fixed Filter Bank module for analog modular synth

Published on Aug 14, 2016 Scott Loiselle

"This is a brief vid I did for the students in my CT335 EMT class, introducing a new module we will have for FA16. The design is by an outstandingly talented fellow named Yves Usson, and the build/construction is by another fellow named Jason Fry who has a company called Free State FX, and he will build this or any other of a number of things for you. I'd never bought anything from Jason but this experience was such that I will now buy from him anytime. The build quality (fit, finish, attention to detail) is superb, and the module is so nice that I now want one for my own system."
