Modular Workshop - Live @ Analogue Zone Showroom E04

Streamed live 47 minutes ago Analogue Zone Showroom / Synths and Studio

"Modular Workshop - Live from the Showroom

This week's stream features a world premiere for Buchla lovers: Ramin will demonstrate the unparallelled audio range of the Buchla LEM Snoopy - Buchla's more compact synth voice with its flagship modulation and filtering capacities. You will be put into picture in connection with the convincing Buchla-sound, and he will also talk about what makes its oscillators exceptional both for timbre and tuning when it comes to heavy modulation.

The Make Noise DPO and the Endorphin.es Terminal will be also there to see how two classic Buchla-concepts (the lowpass gate and the complex oscillator) sound in eurorack. The 4ms Company - Dual Looping Delay will process the sounds with its exceptionally fine-tuned feedback.

The Varigate 8+ 2 CV outs will be utilised as well along with the XAOC Devices - Tirana II for extra sequencing duties.

The Hexinverter - Gallilean Moons envelope will be used as one essential ingredient for creating hihat sounds - based on the Malekko - Noise module mostly.

Modular Workshop is a weekly live series from the Analogue Zone Budapest showroom with our experienced modular electronic music performer & friend, Ramin Sayyah. The series was created in order to introduce either one particular module or a very special selection of module-combinations to make various kinds of music with them.

A new episode is streamed live every Wednesday on Analogue Zone's Youtube channel. After a short live performance, Ramin walks us through the building blocks of the patch and answers any questions raised by the viewers.

Tune in every Wednesday afternoon for the show and feel free to ask questions directly during the live stream - also let us know if you want to pay a visit to the showroom during the live show: we can accept a few guests too.

"I was actually planning on saving this video for later, but I fucked up my finger while trying to set up a 3-tier stand, and I am not gonna get my next video finished in time. So, instead of Terraria, enjoy a third trip into slow, Sonic 1 land. It is almost like I am gathering up slow Sonic covers for something..... #ggsLP"

"Wired Heart features six sensors that can detect touch and humidity. Each of the sensors control the pitch of an oscillator – press harder or have sweaty hands to get a higher pitch. Each sensor serves a different function, and it is best to explore the Wired Heart Sound universe by trial and error. However if you want to know what is happening, you can find some explanation below.

INTERMODULATION
If this still sounds boring to you, wait what happens when you touch several pads at once. The oscillators will begin to further cross modulate each other by the current flowing through your hands and a whole new world of awesome sounds opens up.

EXPERIMENT!
There are many more ways the heart can react to you: Try wiping it with a wet cloth, put a banana on it and see what happens, or simply blow on it – the humidity in your breath will make the oscillators sing as if you were just breathing new life into six punch-drunk sirens.

"Stuido [sic] Electronics CODE 8 OD Synthesizer

Custom Designed Fuzz Control Breakout Box

Midiminiafy Option Installed
1 TR-303 Filter Installed
1 ARP 2600 Filter Installed
1 CS-80 Filter Installed
Discrete OP Amps Installed

I am the original owner of this custom designed synth. It is in mint condition. I am only selling because I need money to go back to school. What makes this CODE unique is that the guys at studio electronics made a custom breakout box for it and named it the Serpico 8 (Fuzz Control). It is the only one in existence. This box allows you to control the amount of overdrive for each voice individually. You can also turn the overdrive on or off on each voice. With the Midiminiafy option installed, you can choose between Oberheim or Minimoog filters for each voice. There are custom switches on the front panel that allow you to turn on or off Minimoog ADSR envelopes for each voice. With the Minimoog filter and envelope enabled for any or all voices you can sound just like a Minimoog. There are also 1 each of all of the other available filters installed: Roland TR-303, ARP 2600, and Yamaha CS-80. These are installed on the first 3 voices. The discrete op amps on the main output give you better sound. You can use the 8 analog voices for one sound or you can use them in multi-mode. When in multi-mode, this synth can sound like many different synths due to the amount of filters, envelopes, and overdrive controls that are available to you."
