The highly sought after Minimoog, first invented in 1970, has been used in poplar rock and pop music for several decades. In comparison to its larger and more expensive predecessors, this monophonic analog synthesizer commercialized the use of synthesizers due to its simplified and less cumbersome design. This exciting piece of equipment allows for countless generated sounds by use of controllable oscillators, voltage controlled filter, and voltage controlled amplifier."

There's a lot of bullshit, nonsense and outright rubbish about the ARP2600 on YouTube. Fallacies, mojo and outright falsehoods, to the left right and center.

I want to show what it really is, starting here with just the synth itself, no extras. The series will not focus on technical explanations. Only one goal - how to get a good sound out of it?

Forget the waffle.....The ARP2600 is *not* a science project or a weird curiosity it's a musical instrument .
I think the designers didn't properly understood this at the time.
