Synth Sounds of Tears for Fears "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" | Reverb Learn to Play

Published on Mar 29, 2018 Reverb

"Tears For Fears' classic 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World' is featured on the soundtrack of pretty much any movie set in the 1980s (and even makes an appearance in The Hunger Games courtesy of a Lorde cover.) And for good reason: the synth-centric tune received extreme attention and accolades in vital outlets like MTV and Billboard when it hit the airwaves. Even though it's been over 30 years since its initial release, we had to get William Kurk in the studio to break it down, because everybody wants to...learn this synth part.

Published on Mar 29, 2018 Analogue Zone Showroom / Synths and Studio

"The Modular Workshop is a weekly series from the Analogue Zone Budapest showroom with our experienced modular electronic music performer & friend, Ramin Sayyah. The series was created in order to introduce either one particular module or a very special selection of module-combinations to make various kinds of music with them.

A new episode is coming on every week at Analogue Zone's Youtube channel. Ramin walks us through the building blocks of the patch and answering questions.

Tune in every week for the show and feel free to ask questions at the comment section - also let us know if you want to pay a visit to the showroom during the jam: we can accept a few guests too.
