"This is the venerated Polivoks, by Formanta. The USSR’s foray into the world of the Minimoog, this synth is fairly well known for its insanely good bass sounds, and amazing filter. The filter gets all of the praise here, and for good reason.

This particular synth is in good shape. It works as it should. It is definitely finicky, and needs warmup, as most vintage synths do. Sometimes it goes a little nuts, until it gets warmed up. That of course can be fun... occasionally one key in the lowest octave sticks physically, but if you shift the case slightly, it remedies. There is no top part to the case, but that’s how I bought it years ago.

You’ll need a step down transformer, as this runs at 220V. Comes with the power cable. Again, you’ll need the transformer to use it properly on 110/120V power."

"Unique sound, unique look, great feel, completely programmable, perfect for atmospheric pads, deep bass or crazy leads.

LCD Screen and all keys, knobs, sliders and ribbon are in perfect condition and the synth is updated with the latest software.

The headphones input [output jack] is broken as in the photo, but this never bothered me as I plug it straight into my mixer, audio interface or guitar amplifier."

Curious how the jack was broken.

The 1st track of the Timbre Wolf is being used to sequence the drums on the Circuit Bent Kawai K1m. Track two is the bassline which is going out of it's individual output and into a clipping mackie mixer channel. The third & fourth are sequenced the same for layering & output the main out, then going into the Moog MF Delay. All this was recorded then mixed in Logic pro, utilizing a bit of compression, EQ & verb."

"Today we repair an Oberheim DSX sequencer that was sparking and smoking when I first turned it on. We clean up nasty battery corrosion, repair a short circuit, rebuild the power supply, replace a broken display, install my battery eliminators to make sure we never have another leaked battery, and we test the sequencer with the diagnostic ROM and with a real OB-Xa synthesizer.

This kit converts a synthesizers.com q150 ladder filter into a 1u condensed version.

"The J150 is a brand new original panel design for the synthesizers.com q150 Transistor Ladder Filter, paying homage to the origins of the Moog low pass filter design that the q150 is based on, and the original home of R.A. Moog in Trumansburg, New York. This new panel design saves valuable space in your modular synthesizer, and makes minimal sacrifices to do so. The only features omitted are the signal attenuators for the audio inputs, and the unipolar CV input for frequency, while maintaining classic Mu format ergonomics. Assembly of new panel requires only a screwdriver, and a few sockets. No soldiering, plug and play, and the modification is completely reversible.

Includes 1 panel, and 3 knobs (one large, two small), a replacement switch and a new set of standard PCB standoffs, to replace the non-standard ones that come on the q150. The J150 configuration is still compatible in slanted walnut and Box11 cabinets.
