Sylphyo Quick Start: With a MIDI synthesizer
Published on May 24, 2018 Aodyo Instruments
Spot the synth.
"Want to use the Sylphyo to play your favorite synth? This video shows you how in one minute.
If this is the first time you use your Sylphyo, make sure you charge it for up to 8 hours before using it.
You will need a MIDI cable (not included) to connect the MIDI output of the wireless receiver device to the MIDI input of your synthesizer. Power the wireless receiver using the included USB cable and charger, and turn on your Sylphyo and your synth. That's it!
Sylphyo is a next-generation wireless MIDI wind controller made in France by Aodyo Instruments. The Sylphyo allows you to play any kind of sound (or synthesizer) like a traditional woodwind instrument, with their unmatched feeling and expressive possibilities. If you play the saxophone, recorder, flute, trumpet, clarinet, oboe, or whistle, you'll feel at home with the Sylphyo. If you don't, it's a wonderful way to get started with wind instruments. In both cases, the Sylphyo combines the countless possibilities of electronic instruments with the feeling of acoustic traditional instruments."

Mixing 5U Modular Tech With Tape Delay & Ensoniq ASR-10 Sampler
Published on May 24, 2018 The Daydream Sound
"Adding tape delay to your setup is old school and it’s fun and unique. In this video we’ll combing vintage technology (Analog Tape & Ensoniq ASR-10) With a modern analog synth. Well I guess it’s definitely old tech as well. Do I even have a point here? Anyway watch the video. It’s great!
Video Timestamp
00:03 - Preamble.
00:43 - Demo begins.
01:04 - The two oscillators are being sent to its analog filter and modulated by the EG.
02:16 - Oscillator 2 modulates the pulse with of oscillator 1.
03:15 - Analog Tape Delay begins.
For those interested. Here follows the patch. The ASR-10 is driving the MIDI to the Modular system. Its audio is also being fed to the Instrument Interface of the modular. Moving on to the Synthesizers.com system. The two oscillators are being sent to its analog filter and modulated by the EG. Later on in the video you’ll see that I take one of the oscillator outputs of the second oscillator and use it to modulate the pulse with of the first oscillator. Lastly the both the dotcom system and the ASR-10 are sent to a Macke mixer. This is where the tape delay is being created. If you want to know how to create Tape Delay here’s the video:"

The sequence of the filter slope is 6 dB/Oct, 12 dB/Oct, 18 dB/Oct and finaly 24 dB/Oct.
You can hear the difference very well.
All in all the filter of the Moog Subsequent is one the best."

Roland S-550 and Gotek USB-Floppy Emulator | Review & Demo
Published on May 24, 2018 Espen Kraft
"The Roland S-550 sampler is one of the best sounding vintage samplers out there. It has a really present sonically character and it "degrades" the sound in a very musically way that's pleasing to the ear.
Using a USB floppy emulator is on paper the right thing to do, but in truth it can be a real hassle so be aware of lots of button pushing, make list of whats stored on the USB mamory sticks and don't mess up LEFT and RIGHT buttons on the emulator! :D
The file structure on the memory stick is as follows:
U: ___ | IMG720 _____ | 000.IMG 001.IMG 002.IMG
The 000.IMG file must be the OS image file and the memory stick MUST be formatted with a MBR option - master boot record. Use something like RUFUS for WIndows to do this. Google it."
