Aodyo Anyma Phi SN AP00287

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this listing

"Anyma Phi is a desktop physical modeling synthesizer with various algorithms(from Mutable Instrumets Elements, Rings, Braids, Plaits etc.) that simulate resonators, strings, organ pipes and other acoustic sound sources. Thanks to the audio inputs, Anima Phi can also be used as an effects unit to play external sounds through said models. For example, you can play a drum loop through a string model, adding an organic tail to any transient. Other effects such as reverb, delay, ring modulator, etc. are also available. In total, Anima Phi currently offers 69 different modules that can be interconnected via the matrix. Thus, the small device represents a pretty powerful sound shaping tool. Classic MIDI-Din-I/O and USB-MIDI allow the integration of any MIDI controller, sequencer and your DAW."

Aodyo Anyma Omega & Loom Kickstarters On Hold After Receiving 273% & 321% of Funding Respectively

It looks like Aodyo's Anyma Omega & Loom are on hold, and unfortunately it appears backers may be out their funds as their money went towards pre-production.

Key points from the full Kicstarter message further below:

1. "Given that the funds have been used entirely to advance these projects, we regret to inform you that a refund of your contributions is unfortunately impossible at this stage."

2. "However, if we do not succeed in securing new investments or partnerships in the coming weeks, we will be left with no other choice but to file for bankruptcy."

3. "In closing

We know this is not the message you were hoping for, and we share your frustration. We want to express our deepest gratitude for your support and belief in our vision, and we remain hopeful that a solution can be found."

The full message follows:

"Dear contributors,

We apologize for the delay in getting back to you and thank you for your sustained patience. During this time, we have been doing everything we can to avoid the situation we now find ourselves in. In the spirit of transparency and honesty, we want to share the challenges we are facing and provide a clear picture of where we stand.

Anyma Phi and Anyma Phi V physical modeling synth with Chase Bliss Mood mk2 and OXI One

video upload by Mike Laaksonen

"Anyma Phi from Aodyo Instruments is quite wonderful little monophonic physical modeling synth, that can do much more than just physical modeling. You can use 3 oscillators that you can choose from a long list, ranging from different wave forms, resonators, 2-op FM, wavetables etc.

You can use audio input as an oscillator, either external input or in-built contact microphone. So, Anyma Phi is not just a synth, but audio effect unit, too. However you use it , there are lots of configuration parameters and options.

Those 3 oscillators are routed to main and aux bus, where you can apply 5 effects, pan them in stereo field, add reverb, which is then put out as stereo audio.

Recently, Aodyo has launched as software version of Anyma Phi, called Anyma V. It is identical to hardware unit, except that Anyma V is polyphonic. Anyma V is a by-product of Aodyo's biggest development project, namely Anyma Omega, which is larger sibling of Anyma Phi. As a backer I have been eagerly waiting its launch, which may happen at end of year."

AnymaV Noise Fix for Hard Synth Patches - Mark Steiner

video upload by Mark Steiner

"Patches that were made on the Editor for the Anyma Phi (hard synth) and then loaded on the Anyma V (plugin/stand alone) currently will often have white noise blasting loudly that wasn't meant to be there.

Until this bug is fixed... here is an easy work around. Tested and good.

I have a bank of 164 Sounds that work great in both (this fix saved/included) now for Wind Synths. $95 Email me at monkeydrums@hotmailDOTcom to order.

It is also included in my Time Travel Wind Synth package for $250... includes all my sound collections (about 800 sounds currently and growing, you'll get all future collections/additions as well).

Thanks!"

Loom: Upgraded Action Zone

video upload by Aodyo Instruments

"This video showcases the upgraded Action Zone, now with X axis control in addition to the existing Z pressure axis. This upgrade offers yet another dimension of expressiveness and playability for your Loom.

This is the result of a process that started way before the Kickstarter launch, during the early development stages. Initially, we aimed to include a two-dimensional action zone, but we faced design challenges that led us to postpone this feature.
With tests and feedback with the Kickstarter prototypes, we could quickly hone in on a seamless solution that integrates effortlessly.
To accommodate this new feature, we've slightly widened the Action Zone. This adjustment not only optimizes the use of the new X axis control, but also facilitates two-finger playing techniques. Consequently, we've updated the visual design on the left side of the Loom, moving away from the large Aodyo logo. We look forward to unveiling these new visuals in June."

Aodyo Instruments Introduces Loom - Multidimensional MPE MIDI Controller

video uploads by Aodyo Instruments

"We're threading a new path in the world of music creation, where every touch lets you weave your own sonic tapestry. It's about crafting music with a more personal touch, where every note is a thread in your unique musical fabric. Something exciting is looming. Get ready to unravel a new way to experience sound.

https://loom.aodyo.com/kickstarter"

Have you ever dreamed of a MIDI controller that could turn your touch into music just like a real instrument? Meet Loom.

Loom is a multidimensional MPE MIDI Controller designed for immediate playability and expressiveness.
MPE synthesizers and virtual instruments offer you rich sounds that respond to the slightest variation, but there are few controllers fit to the task.

At Aodyo Instruments, we have drawn on our previous experience with the Sylphyo and the Anyma synthesizers to offer musicians a versatile and powerful device.

Whether you play live, record in the studio or compose music in your bedroom, Loom will become a flexible and original addition to your setup.

FEATURES
Don't be fooled by its simple appearance: Loom's magic lies in the synergy between its surfaces and sensors, offering you different playing modes that will allow you to play almost any kind of virtual instrument or synthesizer.

PLAYING MODES
Unravel evolving chords, weave intricate melodies, craft expressive rhythms. Any way you choose to approach it, Loom is designed as an extension of your hands.

Loom can function as a MIDI Keyboard, offering access to a two or three-octave range. You can play notes, bend them, nuance your attack, and add expression by sliding along the keys.

But if you want to break free from the keys, Loom can also work as a MIDI Ribbon, allowing for smooth sliding across its surface. Optionally, it can make sure you land on the right note, making it easier to play with others without losing the free-form nature of the ribbon.

If you want to play chords like a guitar, Loom offers a MIDI Strum mode, where you can choose a chord with one hand and strum virtual strings with the other. Or you can play it like a harp, directly sliding your fingers across the chord.

For rhythmic parts, Loom also got you covered. Its MIDI Drumkit mode has been carefully designed to provide you with a unique and efficient layout for finger-drumming. It can sense the way your finger hits the surface, as well as the position of your hit: flick more or less quickly to open the hi-hat, move your finger along the ride cymbal's edge or bell, and obtain subtle variations on your snare sound. It works great with acoustic and synthetic drum sounds.

ACTION ZONE
To the left of the surface lies a pressure-sensitive squishy square area called the action zone. Press it to have nuanced control over dynamics or effects.
EDITOR
The companion editor allows you to customize every aspect of your Loom: change modes assign zones, map MIDI controls, set thresholds, and adjust response curves.

2 OR 3 OCTAVES
Craft melodies with two octaves. Weave symphonies with three octaves. Loom is designed for portability, while its extended version, Looom, offers a wider playing range.

BUILT FOR MPE AND LEGACY MIDI
MIDI MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) is an extension of the MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) standard that enables more nuanced and expressive performance capabilities for electronic instruments.
Traditional MIDI communication allows for control changes to be applied globally across all notes of an instrument. In contrast, MPE assigns each note its own unique channel, allowing for individual control of pitch, volume, and timbre per note.

This innovation opens up a new realm of expressive possibilities, letting musicians bend, slide, and modulate notes independently, much like on acoustic instruments. By providing detailed control over each note's parameters, MPE enhances the expressiveness of electronic music performances.
Loom is designed from the ground up for MPE, but it also works very well with any non-MPE MIDI instruments, even monophonic ones!

DEVELOPER-FRIENDLY
You're not limited to the modes we've designed. If you know your way around code, you can also take over and create your own. You can send a specific MIDI message to enter developer mode, where every input will be sent as-is, and you'll be able to control the LEDs and display by sending MIDI SysEx messages to the Loom from your own program or script running on your computer. This way, you can entirely control what's happening on your Loom, design new playing modes that you can distribute to others, or use Loom as an experimentation platform.

CONNECTIVITY
Using a USB or MIDI cable, you can easily connect your Loom to all your hardware and software: VSTi, Audio Units, hardware, etc.
Here are a few demos that showcase examples of how Loom can be used and setup.
