I spotted an auction for a Touch Talker TT-DB below. I was curious what it sounded like so I did a quick search on YouTube and found the above. It's $299 on iTunes: LAMP Words For Life - Prentke Romich Company! The original hardware version below utilized Smoothtalker or DECTalk speech synthesis, and was built to interface with the Apple IIe, II+, and IBM PC. Not sure what the iOS version uses - new samples, samples of the original, or the actual synth engine of the original. Another interesting bit of synthesis history...
"Touch Talker, models TT-DB, is a portable electronic communication aid offering synthesized speech output and optional printer or keyboard emulating output. Selections are made directly by pushing one of the keys on the membrane keyboard. Messages can be displayed on an LCD before being spoken. The Touch Talker can be used with Minspeak and Expanded Minspeak firmware, which allows vocabulary to be stored and recalled by semantic compaction and overlays to be created and reassigned. The Touch Talker can also be used to operate an environmental control system and a computer. "Here we have MFB's wonderful analog drum machine, the Tanzbar (Dancing Bear). It is lightly used, in perfect working order, and with the exception of a few tiny blemishes is also in excellent cosmetic condition (see pics)."
"This Pulse is in good condition and working well. All controls respond accurately. All lights and screen fully functional. All ports and jacks in great shape and connect without issue. Sound is strong and clear from all inputs and outputs.
As seen in photos, there are some scrapes on the front surface and scratches on top, and one knob cap has been replaced. However, the unit is structurally sound and in solid physical condition. The knobs feel a little wobbly to me, but I do not know if this is typical or not for this unit. All knobs work very well."

This time, we've only used the built in effects and instruments in Gestrument Pro to build this warehouse-friendly Techno preset.
This preset is heavily inspired by groovebox-style techno with pattern sequencers running the drums and along with a few other sounds. The bassline is influenced by eurorack sequencing and utilises random sources to generate both rhythm as well as melody quantized to a pre-defined scale.
To the left of the screen you can see our new performance sliders. These can be mapped to almost any parameter available in the app for instant access during live performances or even automated using the loop function. In this Preset we use the sliders for mixing, effects and rhythm/melody generation.
