"Why don’t we see any technology like Transwaves Synthesis on Samplers anymore? In this video we’ll explore a theory explaining why this might be. Using Transwave synthesis (a relative of wavetable synthesis) in a practical way can give great results and satisfaction. We’ll use the Ensoniq ASR-10 to demonstrate how Transwaves can be used in the beat making and song creation process.

"Upon arriving to KnobCon 7, my friend Winston showed me that he was able to turn the ND2 into a polysynth by using a MIDIBro in the data flow. Each voice of the ND2 is on their own MIDI channel and the MIDIBro merges them together.
So I went back to my room and grabbed my MiniBrute to use as a MIDI keyboard controller and decided to do a little improve while he tweaked the ND2's parameters via his Digitakt."

OB-6 + Medieval Chant (Salve Sancta Parens)

"OB-6 does mellow jazz arrangement of Salve Sancta Parens. I transposed the vocals down to the key of G to give the sense of a high male voice, rather than the original female voice. G major also works well for the piece.

In terms of structure, I'm only using verse 2 from the original.

In the video I'm playing the arpeggiator accompaniment part. After recording this, I dropped in chords and a bassline. It may look as if the playing is out of time with the changes; the reverb mix is set to max, which gives a slight delay to when the chord is played and when it is heard.

The mellow jazz feel works well with Medieval music :) F#7#5 (F#7 aug) chord at 1:18 in this piece sounds good. The Obi has a great sound for mellow jazz. I'd say it is probably one of the styles it does best.
