You can build this 808 kick drum clone!
Premiered 5 hours ago juanito moore
"Download and print the circuit paper, get the electronic parts, plug in your soldering iron, and build this with me!
This 808 kick drum circuit is functionally identical to the original TR-808 kick with some cool mods. There's a pitch mod for higher and lower kicks. There's a decay mod that will let you get more-than-infinite decay times (it'll just oscillate forever). There's a wave clipper that'll add harmonics to the kick to make it "cut through" the rest of the sounds, which can be useful if you're using small speakers that can't do real bass. Finally, there's lots more *amplitude*.
I have simplified the circuit in a few ways, making it easier to build. You can build a perfect replica with everything exactly as it was from the factory, including obsolete transistors and 5%-precision carbon resistors if that's your thing, but I don't cover that here.

Improvised Experimental Beat Demo pt. 2 // Elektron Octatrack Demo
Published on Jun 30, 2019 Ron Cavagnaro
"This video shows a purely experimental improvised demo making abstract glitchy beats on the Elektron Octatrack. It begins with a very crude, primitive sounding beats, then carefully molded into engaging complex rhythmic textures. The workflow in this video shows how the slots mode can be used with live-recording constantly set to "on". To access slots mode, hold down "function + arrow key down" and choose 'Slots' from the menu. To toggle on/off Live Recording, hold down rec and press play. Live recording is on if you see the red light blinking. In this demo we had the octatrack running through the Eventide H9 for atmospheric master FX."

Free Chiptunes Preset Pack for MOXF (Free download)

"Hiya folks,
I love classic video game soundtracks and trying to design templates to help me make my own music modeled after the restrictions of various console sound chipsets.
Here's a MOXF preset pack I made that consists of 30 NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis inspired sounds using waveforms that come stock on the board (no flash memory upgrade needed). There's also one PCM downsampled drum kit that should work with all three decently well.

OB-6: Improv in Ab
Published on Jun 29, 2019 Kris Lennox
"Listen to that. Beautiful. Every time I turn on the Obi, music emanates from it. The thing plays itself. The sound from the OB-6 is instant beauty; it is almost impossible to make a bad sound on it. The included patch is one I use quite often: not a stock patch, but one I spent a good while creating (the same patch was used two videos ago on the DFAM/guitar jam).
What a mellow sound. Liszt was of the opinion that Ab was 'the key of love', and he frequently used the key when writing love songs/ballads (i.e his famous Liebestraume #3, among others). It certainly is mellow.
Whilst the video was processing, I was thinking RE 'synth therapy'. Listening to this kind of music certainly chills the mood. Playing this kind of music even more so. Perhaps what we need for world peace is for leaders to jam on an instrument. Or what may be easier would be modular. I propose the UN have a modular wall, and each day, two countries get together and design a patch.
Musicians can have their quirks. For sure. However: I don't know about you, but I've never wanted to blow up fellow musicians.
Especially so ones who I've worked with on patches.
Imagine if Trump and the Ayatollah worked on a patch together. "How can we fight? Listen to the patch we made!". Both the patch design process and finished patch could be televised. I haven't watched TV in a decade or so, but I'd certainly get a TV/tune in to the Political Patch channel.
Modular walls for world peace :)
Back to reality: yes, great sound. Nothing added to the sound post-pro, aside from a fade at the end.
All best
Kris"
Novation Mono Station - A long mess about!

"Played about with the Mono Stations sequencer and various modulation options - got a bit carried away so it's a long one!!!
Well done if you make it to the end :)"
