Four more classic TR-808 patterns recreated on the Behringer RD-8. After a few more days with the machine I've gotten a better understanding of how it works, and I can get it so close to an original machine that Gear Slutz forums have started splitting hairs.

Proud to have been part of the sound design team for one of the most exciting new synths and controllers to come out in a long time: Hydrasynth - Digital Wave Morphing Synthesizer with Polyphonic Aftertouch. It has an amazing internal synth engine and can also be used as an affordable poly-AT controller for any synth that is able to receive it. This includes pretty much all DSI / Sequential synths, Deckard's Dream, Kijimi, Xerxes, and of course all kinds of soft synth.

"Drone synth improvisation based very loosely in the North Indian raga Jaunpuri.

Two synths are set to auto-trigger to sustain the drone. These are the Make Noise 0-Coast and the Behringer Neutron. There are plenty of cross modulations between the two and the Roland System 1m, which is the lead synth being triggered by the KeyStep.

The BeatStep Pro is triggering some drums in Ableton, and three pads are routed to trigger various envelopes on the 0-Coast and the Neutron.

The Roland Juno 60 has its filter being modulated by my custom Max For Live plugin CuatroMod -- two sets of two cross modulated oscillators that can then cross modulate each other.

All was recorded and mixed in Ableton Live. Video shot on GoPro, iPhone, and a webcam, and edited in DaVinci Resolve.

"There were 9 versions of the Jupiter-8 and this is version 1.

Epic, vintage, legendary.

It's the 1264th Jupiter 8 ever produced. Around 3000 were produced in total.

Based on the serial number I estimate that it was made around February of '82, 1 year after they started manufacturing.

It's one of the earlier 12 bit models, just before they started using a 14 bit D/A converter.

Serial no. 151364

Perhaps Roland's most classic sought after keyboard."

"The VS is in superb working condition, a new backlight has been fitted and the synth has been thoroughly tested. All buttons, switches, pots and keys work as they should. The aftertouch has been confirmed to be fully working.

Cosmetic condition is excellent, with only minor marks and blemishes."

"5 voice Studio Electronics Omega 8 with the Black Music Essentials patch bank (a $100 bank) loaded into ROM C. This version has the Minimoog and Oberheim filters.

It's in excellent condition, sounds incredible, has some typical rack rash. Has multiple options for outputs for the individual voices, as well as a dedicated mono output and stereo outputs.

The BME patchbank is like a trip into 70s-90s R&B and Funk. Incredibly well programmed."

I believe the RED EYE editions were Novamusik special editions. Novamusik is now Kraft Music.

Acidlab Autobot Sequencer (RARE) + M303

"The M303 is an entire synthesizer voice and to be exact a clone of the TB-30´s analog circuitry in a single Eurorack module. Imagine it as a modular vesion of the Acidlab Bassline without the sequencer but with aditional CV inputs instead.

Now imagine it with a sequencer that can attach directly to the M303. That's the Autobot. Autobot is the monophonic sequencer from the Bassline 3 in Eurorack format enhanced with some additional trigger outputs AND midi i/o.

These are pretty rare / especially rare together."
