"This synth is in incredible condition for its age, it has been very well cared for and has never left my studio as long as I’ve had it. There are no issues whatsoever with the synth everything functions perfectly as it should and it sounds incredible. It hurts me to have to let it go but I’ve moved into a smaller studio and no longer have room for all of my full keyboard synths :( I have shipped quite a few vintage synths with no issues but I will be purchasing Reverb’s shipping protection just to be safe. Rest assured it will be packaged extremely well. This is a beautifully preserved piece of Roland’s history. Fast, free shipping!!"

"All switches and buttons work. Rhythm machine presets work and tempo change. Some keys are bit bent pressed on first octave, also some same keys wont respond so its possibly top octave MK 50240 chip issue that needs replacement."

Best Ambient Synth Shootout #81: Böhm Dynamic 4x9 - Song 2
Published on Mar 1, 2020 Christian's Sonic Spaces
"This is the second song with the Boehm Dynamic 4x9. It's a German FM-synthesizer from mid-80s that were only available as DIY project. It uses 12(!) Yamaha ICs of the type YM2203, which were commonly used in home computers from NEC as well as in arcade games until the early 90s. Each of the ICs has 3 FM-voices for an overall 36 voices 4-part polyphony.
I used for the recording the following FX for the song:
T-Rex Twister, DigiTech Obscura, Alesis Ampliton, Pigtronix Echolution 2 Deluxe, GFI System Specular Reverb 2.
Depending on the recorded track some FX are deactivated. The signal went through a Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 into the PC for recording. To create the complete song I recorded consecutively several stereo tracks. The final song was then mastered with a bit EQ and compression on some tracks and some limiting on the master track."

A little bit about how a synthesizer works
Published on Mar 1, 2020 Zoë Blade
"A casual chat / very rough guide to how a modular synthesiser works, for making electronic music.
My face isn't lit from the front, the shapes are wrong, the subtitles are hard to read, I ramble, I forgot to show oscillator sync, and there's no mixer insert shot, BUT it's finished! I'd still like to make some better videos on the subject at some point, but in the meantime, here's something, at least."

Luftrum 23 - Soundbank for Pigments 2
Published on Mar 1, 2020 Luftrum1
"Luftrum 23 for Pigments 2 is an ambient cinematic soundbank for the film scoring space traveller and the electronic producer, containing 100 presets plus 22 FX presets, for the reverb and delay effects.
The set is created by Luftrum and taking the sounds back-to-basics in the vein of early Luftrum releases with rich pads, silky Vangelis-like keys, bitcrushed yet mellow synth leads, underscoring textures and conceptual granular work with sonics originating from space itself - like the dusty, mesmerizing granular pad Stillness of Stars sculpted out of a short snippet of otherworldly frequencies from Voyager 2 as it passed through the outer magnetosphere in 1979 and the pulsing drone based on the cryptic FRB signals from deep space billions of light-years away, which are intercepted, noise reduced and timestretched 350 times.
The soundbank is designed to evoke emotions and raise questions about the depths of space and time, journeys to the unknown, life and existence and the symbiosis between the tiny pale blue dot we call Earth and the vast eternal universe, with inspirations drawn from artists like Biosphere, Jonn Serrie, Vangelis, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Stellardrone, Ascendant and Steve Roach.
All presets got a few dB headroom, have modwheel assigned and aftertouch where it gave meaning. The soundbank is NKS ready, contains NKS presets and audio previews for users of Native Instruments hardware. There’s a PDF guide included, describing how to install the set.
Some of the audio contained are from the NASA archives and used in compliance with their Media Usage Guidelines. NASA is not affiliated with Luftrum and does not endorse the use of the audio. The FRB signal is from the Harvard Dataverse. The sonification itself is the public domain, according to the terms.
