Korg Minilogue XD - demo by Jexus / WC Olo Garb

Published on Mar 6, 2020 Jexus - WC Olo Garb

"Do you want to help with new demos? Support me: https://www.patreon.com/jexus [.] To get my Minilogue XD sounds (250 in total), please transfer E/$ 25 to this paypal address: [wcologarb at tlen.pl] writing "minilogue xd sounds" in the title. I did not use additional FX in the demo, all the delays and reverbs and flangers are part of the XD engine and these patches on your XD should sound the same as in my demo.

Demo of Korg Minilogue XD part 1 of 2. Sounds & video editing by Jexus-WC Olo Garb."

Friday Fun: MiniNova and Skulpt

Published on Mar 6, 2020 sonicstate

"Another in our occasional Friday Fun Synth Jams series - designed to encourage a bit of creative improvisation for the weekend.

This time we fire up the long ignored Novation MiniNova - which we reviewed back in 2012, which was an early DSP based synth with 18 voices featuring the same synth engine as the UltraNova.

We add the Modal Electronics Skulpt to that - this one doesn't have the recently announced firmware update."

Roland D-50 | The King of all VA synths?

Published on Mar 5, 2020 Espen Kraft

"Yeah, yeah... I know... it's not really technically a VA synth. Calm down, take a Zanax and let me explain.
For all PRACTICAL purposes the D-50 is the ultimate digital synth to emulate analog sounds. It does so in a totally unique way and the sound it produces cannot be replicated by any other synths, including its own clones like the Boutique D-05, Roland Cloud, V-synth D-50 card add-on or the VST version. Only the original D-50/550 can sound like this.

The "fake" filters, the DAC and the way it crunches through the numbers (LA) to get down to brass tacks is so crisp and aliased that it sits on top of the food chain imo.

Chroma Polaris and PL88 (lewis midi) arp demo

Published on Mar 5, 2020 MIDERA

"I find exploring synth sounds more interesting using an arpeggiator. Unfortunately the Chroma Polaris doesn't have an onboard arp - but here I've connected my lewis midi PL88 to arpeggiate the sound from my Polaris. I turned local control off on the Polaris (lower function, interface, and button 1) and then just messed with the sound.

I did use the Eventide Blackhole with this."
