Voyetra Eight - Octave Plateau Electronic

MrFirechild

"Here is a track with the extremely rare Voyetra Eight from Octave Plateau Electronics (1983). All sounds are coming from the Voyetra (including percussion). Even more rare is that the Voyetra is using a mix of SSM and CEM chip. SSM2044 for filter and CEM3340 for VCOs. Add the extended modulation features and you have a lovechild of Prophet 5 Rev2 and the Matrix-12!

"Built by the fabulous Paula Maddox of Dove Audio and Modal synth fame.

Great little synth, 2 Oscillators that have standard waves and also some PPG style ones, plus a sub Oscillator. 2 envelopes and a nice LFO.

The VCF and VCA is the Korg 2069 chip used in the DW range and also Paulas new MU VCF.

There were not many of these built but this is just sat feeling unloved due to lack of time.

There is no PSU or manual, however there is a full tutorial online. I lost the PSU in a house move a year ago and have not replaced so can not say it is working as I can not turn on, however it was fine before my move."

Moog Subharmonicon | Flower Patch

Moog Music Inc Moog Music Inc

"In this new semi-modular exploration, Asheville-based electronic music producer and Moog Product Specialist Max Ravitz (aka Patricia) brings Subharmonicon together with Mother-32 and DFAM for an intricate performance among the flora of his garden at home.

Subharmonicon provides two layers of rhythmic chordal movement, touched with a bit of delay from the OTO Machines BIM 12-bit delay. Mother-32 plays a counter melody creating unique harmonies against the tuning of Subharmonicon’s suboscillators. Lastly, DFAM glues the composition together with a deep analog kick drum, while the entire 3-tier system is processed by the OTO Machines BAM for some light reverb to give dimension to the mix.

Anima Ritual Electronics as dual VCO and overview curves with Pico LPG

Dziam Bass

"Hello Guys.
I recorded a small example with Anima from Ritual Electronics using two oscillators and his Curves flyby during the tune.
to this I added Pico LPG and Reverb from Black Hole DSP from Erica Synths .
Anima is Dual voltage controlled segments generator. AD / ASR envelope, LFO, Digital Oscillator and more
Anima draws its roots in the “west coast” analog function generators and updates them in the digital realm.
This take allows for extremely precise 1V/Oct tracking (10+ octaves) when in cycling mode, and for the control of the rising and falling segments (aka attack and decay) curves without affecting timing + a few more tricks.
The 1V/Oct input turns Anima into a very capable digital dual oscillator - when in cycle mode - with two types of frequency modulation and voltage controlled waveform crossfading. Cross patching is highly recommended for harsh mayhem synthesis!
The Curve parameter goes well beyond the usual Lin/Log control. It morphs smoothly between several curvatures (including the classic log, lin and exp) without affecting the rising and falling times.
For maximum versatility each channel of Anima has an output polarity switch, making it 0 to +8V in unipolar mode or -5 to 5V in bipolar mode, suitable for audio or bipolar CV generation."
