Roland SH-3 unique feature demo
IvanCU
"Showing some unique features of the Roland SH-3 (first version which later became the SH-3A). This unit could use some keyboard contact, switch, and pot cleaning, and probably a recap at this age (likely built around 1974).
This is my first video using a setup where I can get audio direct into the computer while recording the video. So my apologies for the autofocus blur at times."

Sequential Prophet-5 rev4 various sounds, filter & vintage knob demos
Paul Schilling
"A run-through of patches I created for the Prophet-5 rev4. Some of these were included in the factory set. I focused a lot on the rev2 SSM-based filters. In several of the patch demos I do some tweaking, for example to show the difference the Vintage knob makes, and to show the quality of the filter with low or high resonance.
No processing except a touch of reverb. Because some seem to prefer dry demos I included a few patches at the beginning with no reverb, and also all patches after 13:50 have no reverb."
The Fog - John Carpenter Cover
Scott Ampleford
"Another year, another John Carpenter cover. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
The Fog is another great film from the master, with a cracking score to boot.
Full of moody tension and synthesized dread in Carpenter's signature style, with a little help from the great Dan Wyman. I hope you enjoy my renditions in this medley of classic themes.

Voice of the Mountain/ STG Oscillator drone
davidryle
"A little more detail about the modulation feature of the new STG Soundlabs Oscillator. Actually two of them in 5U large format.
This a longer drone so you can hear the slow and subtle pitch modulation. They are capable of very stable tuning as wee as outrageously wide modulation. All this right on the front panel with a unique type of drift algorithm.
The drone is controlled by a pair of Q960 sequencers and a pair of STG Voltage sequencers for octave and semitone transpose. The video demo is in two parts. The first part is a display of the modulation amount and drift speed, as well as the semitone and octave switching. They are also capable of LFO functions and a smooth sweeping 'WIDE' setting.
The second portion is a long (10 minute) ambient chill drone with various delays and reverbs. The slowly drifting pitch modulation reminded me of distant horns so I had to visualize some mountain voices. I also added a drifty, noisy filtered background for atmosphere."
