MOS-LAB E-mu Modular Replica Session 1

video by MOS-LAB

"The first demo of my Emu replica modular."

"Quasi Stellar Objects" from the new album "MOD NIGHTS"

video by Marc Mennigmann

"What do you do when you are up at night and can't sleep?I started to experiment with my modular synthesizer and recorded the results. This is a selection of pinged filters, polyrhythmic sequences, strange sounds and moods - but I always tried to work out the music of an experiment. Although some tracks even use the output of a biofeedback sensor connected to an aloe vera plant, these tracks try to give you a sense of melody, harmony and rhythm. So if you like to dive into my night moods, here they are.

Full album available at: https://mennigmann.bandcamp.com/album...

It features sounds from the Instruo Saich, a pinged Cwejman RES-4 and the Erica Pico Voice. All these are triggered and filtered by Rene 2, a DMF-2, a Sinc Bucina and mangeled with a Lubadh and a Mimeophon. Finally I added the keyboard synth line using the Knifonium VST."

Experimentation | Ambient IDM (Prophet 10, Roland System 8, Machinedrum, Virus TI, Spectralis 2)

video by MIDERA

"A few things I'm working on here:

1) Still deciding whether to keep the SLR Magic 40 1.33X anamorphic lens. In my second part of the video, I left my lens wide open, I thought it looked ok, but it's obviously very soft. I think stopping down to f4 is ok (as the first portion of the video was filmed there. In my previous video - I used the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with no bars, but that actually makes it difficult to add things to Youtube because it's not an approved aspect ratio, funny enough. So I've gone back to desqueezing the video and leaving the bars.

2) Sequencing: I have been trying to find the best, quickest way to write music. I'm starting to realize that I had what I worked best with all along - the Spectralis. I've tried a bunch of different ones, but nothing ever seems to work in the way that I work very well. The downsides that I have noted are fading away as I begin to adventure into other MIDI capable patchbays (visible in the video).

What else is there to say... it's a journey that's left me confused - the lenses, the look of the film, the sequencers... Just trying to enjoy the process of jumping into things I don't know and just trying it out.

Gear:
Prophet 10 REV4 (pads)
Radikal Technologies Spectralis II (sequencing, FX)
Elektron Machinedrum (Drums)
Roland System 8 (Arp)
Strymon DIG (For P10)
Boss MD500 (For P10)

Nice Kiss ~ Digitakt and Octatrack Techno Performance

video by EZBOT

"In this video I perform my track submission for the techno/minimal techno compilation that took place in my discord. This is 1 of 50 different artist submissions all of which are techno/minimal techno.

This track to me was all about smooth transitions - which is why it took me so many attempts to finally record a performance worth sharing.

I sampled myself saying "nice kiss.. you do that on purpose?" All of the sounds are from the Digitakt. The Octatrack is acting as a mixer, looper, and fx-box. Find this Octatrack template on my Patreon (link below) page.

Here is the record from the last compilation: https://sawxxi.bandcamp.com/"

Shortwave Universe

video by Igor Vasiliev

"Sound abstraction created with BeatCutter app (iOS). Eight different tracks with records of shortwave radio stations were used as source material. Final track recorded in this app without any additional processing.

BeatCutter is an experimental multi-channel app for slicing and recombining sound based on rhythm. In the center of the app is a matrix of sample cells with smoothly reconfigurable recording, playback and control busses. This app is best for those who would like to experiment with long sound files or live instruments, creating chaotic constructions and patterns from sliced rhythm-driven samples."

"Very rare MXR 185 drum machine. You probably know what you're looking at.
The unit for sale is even rarer because it is one of the latest produce (SN 85-XXXXX) and it includes all the hardware and firmware revision ever made. Early model did not have the remote jacks for accent and start stop, later had these added in factory but only the latest have the lettering added on top. It has many upgrade that make it fully reliable: battery is on socket and can easily be changed, some components were changed(IC, resistors, caps), sounds Eprom were revised as long as firmware (latest one is "control 11" and installed in this unit). All these upgrade were factory made, these are not mods and they are listed in the service manual. You'll get a copy of it as long as a copy of the owner's manual.
To sum it: this is probably one of the best and most reliable unit you will ever find.

The unit is perfectly working. The only small issue is TOM1 fader has a bit of play and can cause some volume dropouts on that instrument when moved. Apart from that it sounds and runs as new.
Seperate outputs give a much better sound than the main mix but even on stereo outputs the sound is very beefy.

Overall condition is very good. Wood cheeks have some dents but they were sanded and varnished and looks very nice.
Unit is a 230v."

"This is a rare synth pedal bass from the 70s. Italian analog synth JEN P-700. Very basic synth sound but very fat: selection of 2 pitchs sound (16 / 8) that can also be combined, a low pass filter and an variable and switchable release. global tune and volume. The synth has been serviced. 2 switches were replaced and everything was checked and cleaned and tuned and so it works perfectly.Unit is a 230v."
