Introducing Tyso Daiko - Dual Wavetable Drum Voice - ALM031
video upload by ALM TV
"Introducing the TYSO DAIKO, the successor to the recently retired Dinky. The ‘Tyso Daiko’ updates our unique 12 bit drum module with another voice, new features, capabilities and improved control.
The Twin voices are independently triggered and output, but share pitch, envelope and other parameters of a swept wavetable oscillator (with updated waves). A ‘surface’ control to adds optional additional ‘punch’ or attack to output.
One voice is output through a voltage controlled analog tilt EQ emphasising upper or lower frequencies. The other voice is output through a digital wavefolder which adds increasing timbre complexity reaching noise. Voices also feature accent and choke control (voice 1!).
Full voltage control including a V/Oct pitch input makes the Daiko a fun, expressive and wide ranging drum module with extremely wide pallet of sounds with lots of modulation possibilities.
In this video we take a look at all the features and build some patches with the Daiko as the centrepiece.

Prophet Rev2 Stretchweaver music-box mechanism Gecho Loopsynth | minimal ambient melodic experiment
video upload by Nate Connelly
"Music Box, Gechological Gecho Loopsynth v2, Sequentail Prophet 8 Rev2, Drolofx Stretchweaver. Ambient melodic electronic musical looping & sequencing experiments.
The gecho / music box loops are going into channel 1 of the drolofx stretch-weaver - the prophet Rev2 into channel 2 of the stretch-weaver. The Rev-2 is playing a programmed chord sequence in the same key as the melody on the music box. Stretchweaver is on the gate setting. The Gecho music box loops are opening the gate for the Rev2. You can hear how I am adjusting the amount of the Rev2 the music box loops are allowing through. Everything is going through the strymon big-sky, because life is nothing without reverb.

"Here's a super clean example of one of Dave's best designs. This particular synth has been very well maintained along with the upgraded encoder kit (not PE) from DSI. True to it's original intended design, all encoders work flawlessly. Includes original power supply. A Wickedly Powerful Synergy of Analog and Digital
The Evolver series marked Dave’s Smith’s triumphant return to hardware synths and still sets the standard for sheer sonic ferocity. The Poly Evolver Keyboard features a plethora of Dave’s best ideas packed into a monstrously powerful instrument with 4-voice polyphony and a sound like no other.
An analog/digital hybrid, the four-voice Poly Evolver Keyboard features four oscillators per voice—two analog and two digital (the digital oscillators feature the waves from the legendary Prophet VS). Classic Curtis analog low-pass filters and real analog VCAs add ample warmth and girth to the analog section while the digital high-pass filter, tuned feedback, and digital distortion provide sizzle and grit.
But what really sets the Poly Evolver Keyboard apart is the way in which the analog and digital sides of its personality mesh—the digital processing doesn’t simply add effects at the end of the signal chain, but is tightly integrated with the analog electronics in a true stereo signal path with tuned feedback, distortion, bit crushing, and synced delays. It can also process external audio and has separate stereo outputs for each voice. Massive doesn’t even begin to describe its sound.
Imagine being able to move effortlessly from thick analog smoothness to crisp digital edge—or anywhere in between—and you begin to get the picture. The LFOs, step sequencer, and three separate delays can all be synced for complex, evolving, rhythmic, time-based effects in true stereo."
