ModularWorld PatchOn // Field Recording Challenge

"ModularWorld host Johno Wells invited us to take your mic, smartphone or fieldrecorder and collect sounds from your home and environment - and turn them into a modular performance. Here's my entry that aired at Dec 5, 2021. All ModularWorld shows are great, but this show was totally amazing. I've included the link to the full show at the top of this video. My performance was shot live in one go, directly into the DAW. Please use headphones for best results because I collected my sounds with my 3DIO binaural microphone."

Bonding With the E-RM Polygogo (with Rainmaker and Norand Mono)

"I wanted to get to know the E-RM Polygogo oscillator and see if it was for me. It's ok! Very pretty to look at! If you have room for it in your case, and like visual feedback, this is a super cool choice. E-RM runs through Patching Panda Moon Phase and then into Rainmaker. Drums are from the Norand Mono, which makes a surprisingly good little analog drum machine.

Because Noise Plethora is a triple noise generator, you can set up some drum kits using only this module. Clever use of modulation for the sound parameters, filter settings and (external) envelope shapes can results in many different sounds from just only one Noise plethora “drum kit”. :-)
