Speed King (Deep Purple Cover) - Nord Drum 3P, Arturia MiniV + Juno (Ableton Live Performance)
video upload by Jannis Le Wolff
"- 𝓸𝓻𝓲𝓰𝓲𝓷𝓪𝓵 𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓰 𝓫𝔂 𝓓𝓮𝓮𝓹 𝓟𝓾𝓻𝓹𝓵𝓮
🎸 In this instrumental series I'm playing some classics of Rock/Pop music history from the 60s and 70s in some alienated electronic version. For this video I was using the Nord Drum 3P, the Arturia V Collection (MiniV + Juno) as well as the KMI Softstep. The whole set is controlled via Ableton Live.
The Drumbeat is factory preset B30 of the Nord Drum 3P, the Bass is some 3 oscillator sound with the Arturia MiniV and the organ is made with the Arturia Juno plugin.
For mixing I just used some gentle EQ and Compression (mostly FabFilter) and also some Soundtoys effects like Decapitator and Echoboy."
Door #16: Jingle Bells - Synthmas '21
video upload by Synthfluencer
"Ho-Ho-Ho! This is Synthmas '21, the virtual calendar presenting a Christmas carol played by synthesizers - every day from 1st to 24th of December.
The song:
This well known winter's song was made by american composer James Lord Pierpont around 1850. The song is actually about a horse sleigh race and has no context to Christmas.
The gear:
Before technology made digital multi track recording available there was tape recording. And before polyphonic synthesizers where were mono synths. In this arrangement I walk on the paths of history doing a multi track recording track by track on a loop station. All sounds come from the Yamaha CS-5 mono synthesizer. The challenge of multi track recording is timing. The loop station BOSS RC-202 represents state of the art technology that helps to synchronize the tracks. I can imagine how much work it was to record albums like "Switched on Bach" by Wendy Carlos when everything had to be done by hand and ear.
PS Sorry for the bad video quality

"The rare, more playable predecessor to the TetraMAPS, the MAPS has 16 banks of 8 sequences, able to run multiple concurrent sequences, chaining sequences to other sequences, modulating sequences by each other, and sending the sequencer output to any of three cv+gate pairs as well as up to 32 channels of MIDI.
Sequences can run at different speeds from each other, sync'd to external trigger, external clock, each with different step lengths.
While you could use it for some drum applications, where this really shines is leads and melody (or bass and acid, for that matter). Unlike most sequencers, you can trigger the same sequence to play from different start points simultaneously, leading to polyrythms that are more difficult to achieve with most other gear. You can also start and stop those layered sequences very smoothly live."
