New Loops releases "NOIZE (WAV/DUNE Presets)"

New Loops has released NOIZE (WAV/DUNE Presets), a collection of noise textures and sound effects designed for use with samplers and synthesisers.

Here's what they say:

Add character and texture to your drums, or dynamic depth to synths and pads. You'll find many useful noise samples including, vinyl crackle, synth noise, digital noise and glitches, real-world ambiences, gravel sounds, water sounds, rumbling sounds, harsh noise, and much more. NOIZE features 150 noise sounds in 5 categories, including: 55 Atonal noises, 57 Tonal noises, 18 Real noises, 10 Synth noises, and 10 Vinyl noises. Each noise sample is can be looped and is perfect for use in software like Cableguys Noiseshaper (heard in the audio demos), or Devious Machine's Texture, or any software that loads user noise files and samples.

We've tested these noise textures in the following synths: Xfer Serum, UVI Falcon, Synapse Audio Dune 3, Spectrasonics Omnisphere, Arturia Pigments, Kilohearts Phase Plant, Vital Audio Vital, Native Instrument Massive X, Kontakt, and Sonic Academy Ana. You can, of course, use these sounds in any app that uses WAV files.

Bonus Dune 3 Presets
In addition to the 150 WAV files, there's also 150 presets for Dune 3 using the WAV playback feature. Intro Price: £10.99 until January 10, 2021 (Reg. £14.99). Free demo presets are available to download from newloops.com"

Dreadbox Nymphes // First Impressions

video upload by Jorb

"This ended up longer than I expected, but I appreciate how natural it feels for to sit down without an outline for a first impressions, just let me train of thought dictate the episode. So in service of that, I didn't cut out as much as I normally would have.

Really, this is giving me the idea of a bunch of modules with the MPC, no keyboard, go against what I'm used to.

Chapters are hard for this one, just sort of went where my brain went, but we do what we can for the subs ;

2:42 Brief look at competing options
5:44 How's the filter sound?
6:45 Is the menu diving as bad as people think?
9:23 Can it handle varied sound design?

21:29 Waveshapes into more modulation complaints
24:20 Extra envelope trick (different from LooPop I promise)
27:52 TiNy JuNo?
28:53 Demos with Stereo Chorus (wish I used less wacky patches)

Plogue ChipSynth OPS7 - Bit for Bit DX7 emulation - Sonic LAB Review

video upload by sonicstate

"The Plogue Chipsynth OPS7 - is a bit level copy of the original DX-7 - warts and all. They are really into digital accuracy and emulation as with the others in the ChipSynth range. They've included the bugs, the envelope stepping and operator maths, as well as the insane compander and filtering.

We know there's a certain something about an original DX-7 and Owen Palmer is a man who appreciates such detail, so he's having a look at this new plug-in for us."

See this post for additional details.

Additional Tone Tweakers Listings, also on Reverb
"This listing is for just the powered boat that houses and powers 3 Buchla 200E modules (or more half modules). The modules are sold separately. Please note the panel on the back with the 2 jacks has since been removed as it’s part of the polyphonic tuner module that we sold separately, so there’s now an empty hole in that space where the yellow X is in the photos. Tested and working fine."
