The Bizarre Beauty Of The Stuber

video upload by HAINBACH

"Peter Blasser's Instruments have been central to my music and live performances for a long time. His Ciat-Lonbarde series is both mystifying and rewarding, balancing chaos and lush sound beautifully. With the Din Datin Dudero edition of oval instruments he has created something even more elusive: what looks like the result of a surfboard and a CDJ getting cozy in a woodshop, the Stuber stereo analog filter instrument is both intuitive and an enigma.

I explored it over the course of ten days, writing 18 tracks for a new album with it as a center piece. I can't claim I am fully aware of how it works, mastery of it is something that needs a long time of practice, but I have fallen in love with it, like with all of Peter's instruments before."

"Here are some examples of sounds created with the Korg ARP 2600M. All sounds are recorded direct without any equalization or other effects.

The theme music for this demonstration was created with a Korg ARP 2600M (with the exception of drums)."

GEOSynths Synth Show Jams - Ep140 - With Dean from Electronisounds

video upload by GEOSynths

"Synthesizer Podcast - April 2022 Jams - With Dean from Electronisounds - Episode 140 @ 6pm UK (1pm EST) Sunday 24th April.

Dean from Electronisounds is a dedicated synth nerd, sound designer, YouTuber and multi-instrumentalist. The drums were his first instrument and that love of rhythm is clear in his music. He comes from an old school background of learning to produce before the days of the internet - which gave him a love for hardware gear. (Producing 100% in the box on computers was not an option in the early 1990’s, you needed to have actual hardware gear if you wanted to make electronic music.)

Using hardware led to a love of SAMPLING, which led him to start Electronisounds in 1994, where he began distributing his own sounds, loops and samples. Electronisounds was one of the first independent sample companies. Dean continues this passion for hardware gear today, making sound banks for modern day samplers, groove boxes and synthesizers.

He’s made over 250 sample packs, sound banks and preset banks, and has done sound design for several other companies such as: Eventide, Novation, Native Instruments, Vengeance, Modbap Modular and many more.

He started the Electronisounds YouTube channel in 2017 and has been sharing tutorials and music made with everything from iPads, to Modular Synths and Eurorack to Grooveboxes like the Digitakt and Akai Force. What’s next for Dean? More new sound banks and sample packs coming soon, of course!

Korg Poly-61 - no talking - part 2/2

video upload by The Synth King

Part 1 here

"The Korg Poly-61 was released in 1982 as the successor to the Polysix. It was somewhat of a step up from the Polysix, as it has 2 DCOs for better reliability. It also retained the arpeggiator of the Polysix. The Poly-61 can provide cool gritty basses or trippy analog sounds and fx. However, its filter only has 7 steps of resonance and is not as fat as the Polysix's filter. It also uses the same method of programming the Poly-800 and Yamaha DX-7 use, so it's not a very useful synth for real-time-tweaking junkies. The first Poly-61s didn't have MIDI, but the Poly-61M released in 1984 corrects this. Overall, the Poly-61 is still a decent synth, and it can be acquired for practically nothing!"

Drifty Analog Pack 1 for DSI Sequential Prophet Rev2. Sound Demo of 31 Custom Programs. No Talking.

video upload by Just Hardware.

""Drifty Analog Pack 1" for DSI Sequential Prophet Rev2, 8 or 16 voice.
You get 31 custom programs with all sequences shown, except for what is shown in the 2 intro tracks. The 2 beginning intro tracks show the Rev2, with my soundset, in a mix with other instruments for demo purposes, and those other instrument sounds are not included. Drum sample sounds are not included.

Except for the intro, all audio you hear is coming directly from the Rev2, with no external effects. "MW" in the program name means that the mod wheel is enabled for extra modulation.

This pack takes advantage of the flexibility of the Prophet Rev2, modulating various parameters, to create the drifting sounds you hear. Some programs sound similar to each other, but vary in texture or the amount that the parameters will drift. With so many choices, finding a sound for your next track is easy!

Drifty Analog Pack 1 is easy to import into the Rev2, using MIDI sysex transfer software that is compatible with .syx files, like MIDI-OX or SysEx Librarian. You can use the USB port or the MIDI In port of the Rev2 for sysex transfers.

Italo Disco Synthwave with Rm1x and Prophet Rev2. Over 90% Rm1x Internal Sounds. "M/S/H- Italo 37".
video upload by Just Hardware.

"A fusion of Synthwave and Italo Disco with a energetic Dance rhythm. My Sequential Prophet Rev2 does the FM-style bells at the intro and is also used on MIDI track 9. Everything else (over 90%) is just the internal sounds and effects of the Yamaha Rm1x, without any external processing."
