video upload by Dj Puzzle

"Today 1010Music announced Razzmatazz a digital drum synth. Really excited to announce that I did some sound design work for this awesome new drum synth by 1010music. This video shows how easy it is to change a snare sound and use the sequencer. I also show how fun it is to use Razzmatazz to expand your existing electronic drums and tabletop setup. PLUS bonus interview with Aaron Higgins of 1010Music at the end."

The World’s Juiciest Groovebox

Create the juiciest beats and tastiest rhythms with nanobox | razzmatazz, a mini drum sequencer that combines powerful FM synthesis and sampling. Featuring advanced voice architecture, razzmatazz puts a huge range of percussive sounds at your fingertips—from deep and gritty kick drums to searing snare hits and crisp hi-hats. Perform using 8 touchscreen pads or your favorite midi controller, and craft up to 16 rhythms using an innovative visual sequencer that allows you to see all pad states and steps simultaneously. Shape the sound of each pad by combining any variation of two FM oscillators and a WAV file—plus two filters, two envelopes, a resonator, a snap generator, and three additional effects. You can even choose from four unique types of distortion to create incredibly distinct and powerful drum sounds. Enjoy massive analog drum sounds and an innovative feature set, all in a compact package that goes anywhere.

Just A Quick Test - Korg SQ-64

video upload by John L Rice

"Pure impulse buy because they are on sale right now for about 40% off! 🤓 It's a well made and powerful sequencer for the price! I'm using it here with one of my smallest 5U synths that I reviewed in my System Breakdown #4" [posted here]

Minimoog with old type oscillators playing and making sounds demo

video upload by Vykaar Tones

"The first versions of the minimoog oscillator were prone to drifting with temperature changes so were a pain to keep in tune at gigs and outdoor events. I have found however, that they can work perfectly well in a studio if calibrated correctly. This one has a serial number in the 8000 range and had multi turn pots fitted to the master tune and osciliator 2 and 3 tune probably in an attempt to make it more useable live. I have just finished servicing it. Now over 50 years since they were introduced it still sounds marvellous."

Diatonic 〽️ (Waldorf M 1.08 // MAM Adx1 // Arturia Keystep Pro)

video upload by 2-Minute Warning

"The Waldorf M just got a very nice update (v1.08) and it was a good reason to celebrate with a new video of the M in multi-mode, sequenced by the Arturia Keystep Pro.
My good old buddy the Music And More (MAM) ADX1 5-voice analog drum machine was also taken out for this special occasion to take care of the beat!
Recorded in one shot.

The 8-voices of the M can be limiting when the synth is used in the multi-timbral mode (4 parts), but hey, the creation of this channel was based on the concept of making music in a constrained environment, so it was a nice challenge again 😅

* Hardware used *

- ALL SYNTH parts : Waldorf M
- Output 1: PLUCK riff + Eventide H9 (Diatonic)
- Output 2: PADS + Darkglass Microtubes X (Distortion) + Walrus Audio Julianna (Chorus, Vibrato) + Strymon Bigsky (Reverb) + Pill Pedal (Ducking, triggered by the Keystep Pro kick's gate output)

- DRUMS : Music And More ADX1

- All synth & drum parts sequenced by the Arturia Keystep Pro"
