Strymon Mobius: Complete walkthrough on synth
video upload by Richard DeHove
"Strymon's Mobius was released in 2012 and since then has been widely regarded as one of the best modulation multi-effects. To still be at the top after 10 years you need to be doing a lot of things right. The Mobius certainly delivers on build quality, sound and ergonomics. Originally I thought it would be a somewhat boring but useful machine to cover generic modulation duties that weren't worth a separate dedicated pedal. But it turned out the Mobius does all the usual stuff extraordinarily well but then gives you all sorts of other interesting and experimental stuff on top.
Here I go through all the global functions, common parameters and specific options for all 12 effect types, and program a sound for each one. For all of them I'm using the same bland single oscillator sound from the Rev-2. So this is not really a sound design tutorial, it's aim is to show the many and varied capabilities of the Mobius and give you the confidence to know and exploit its full power.
Finally, I bought the Mobius at full price with my own money.

Arturia Minifreak // The Evolution of DIGITAL/ANALOG Hybrid Synths
video upload by Starsky Carr
"How does the Arturia Minifreak sound compared to one of the best hybrid digital/analog synths ever created? Not really a comparison but a look at how the Minifreak stands up against vintage class. and the Prophet VS is pure vintage class!
They're 2 Different synths so I'm not doing a strict like for like comparison - that wouldn't make sense - but I'm exploring if there's a start difference between modern and vintage units. Do vintage units have a certain je ne sais quoi do they have a life, depth and fizz we just don't seem to be able to recreate in new instruments?"

"Up for sale a super rare and awesome Octave Plateau - Voyetra 8. There were only a few hundred of these made and you almost never see these for sale!
Selling as is.
Known Issues are: Audio outputs do not pass signal although the headphone out does work correctly. Unison L is not working but Unison R is working.
Other than that there are some scratchy switches & pots from age which are to be expected. I contacted one of the original guys from Octave Plateau and he stated " the Voyetra serial is one of the last batch manufactured so is probably a Rev4" The Rev4 is the most desirable version works with MIDI librarians like MIDI Quest Pro and has advanced SysEx. Earlier versions have a much more limited UI.
Midi In cable included. (XLR Male to Midi) See shop description."

YAMAHA EX-2 ANALOG SYNTHESIZER ORGAN

"1970's YAMAHA EX-2 ANALOG SYNTHESIZER ORGAN. Their (sic) were only 12 of these made and it is very rare. It does work, but i dont know how to operate it. Speaker is missing its felt cover in the back, but does have a replacement for it. Pick up only in Pahrump, Nv 89060."
You can find a demo of one here. Note the EX-2 is not the pre-cursor to the GX-1. That would be the EX-42 (1970–1977, stage model, design origin of GX-1)" according to the list of Yamaha products on Wikipedia.
