"Here we have the new Motion MTR Eurorack module from Molten Modular (Molten Music Technology, Robin Vincent) and Befaco. The Motion MTR is your classic modular synth utility provided attenuation, inversion, offset voltages and mixing with the addition of lots of blinking lights!

More than a pretty light show the LED rings work as a VU meter (audio mode) or CV monitor and show your input voltages so you can better trace a patch, track down that feedback getting out of hand, or simply stared at blinky lights because secretly we all want out modulars to look like Christmas tree. They look great and perform well as you’ll see in the video.

MOTION MTR

CV AND AUDIO UTILITY / REALTIME VISUALIZER

Motion MTR allow you to mix, attenuate and invert signals while having clear visual feedback of their levels. Each channel can function as:
Audio level control with VU meter
CV attenuator with voltage meter
CV inverter with voltage meter
Each input is normalled to 10v, so you can
use each of them to generate fixed voltages.
Also, the outputs of channels 1 and 2 are summed into Out 3 to be used as a mixer.
Patch it wildly to make it work as an attenuverter with offset, as a mixer, a VU meter or a combination of them all!

This module is our first collaboration with Robin Vincent from Molten modular.

"The Return of the QUASAR SYSTEM!

The QUASAR system was inspired by the unpredictable nature of black holes and exploring the thoughts of getting lost in space by immersing yourself into a system that guides you in many unknown directions, forcing one to patch in ways they never thought possible.

With no sequencer in the system, users are forced to think outside the box to create melody and patterns. Having many random voltages within the system allows this instrument to be a force of its own when it comes to generative patching techniques and moving compositions that can morph in the time domain.

a massive and extremely remote celestial object, emitting exceptionally large amounts of energy, and typically having a starlike image in a telescope. It has been suggested that quasars contain massive black holes and may represent a stage in the evolution of some galaxies.

PATCH NOTES -

I designed this patch to show that tonal sequences can be produced on the QUASAR SYSTEM to create an abstract composition. This piece has a very microtonal feel and is quite interesting when notes begin to relate and spread from each other.

The QUASAR SYSTEM lends itself to a world of generative patching techniques that has made this system a very unique system.

"Excellent condition of the rare white face Crumar Bit 01 Rack. A very special synth that can have voices split or doubled (huge) across the keyboard. Has a very distinct character somewhere between analog and digital, a beautiful tone.

Was inspected/ serviced thoroughly in 2019 after it was bought from a professional studio where is was very well cared for. Has been performing perfectly since then. European 220 voltage, comes with power cable.

I was told that the same designer (or team?) that worked on the Elka Synthex designed this unit. Interesting to think about if true but I haven’t gotten that confirmed."

Korg Mono/Poly Analog Synthesizer SN 373493

"A cool analog monophonic/polyphonic from Korg. It has 4 VCO's which can be shared in 4-voice Polyphonic mode, or linked in Unison for a versatile monophonic lead. Each VCO has its own level, tune, and waveform type control. Waveforms include triangle, sawtooth, variable pulse wave. It has a great VCF (filter) section as well as 2 envelope generators (one for the oscillators and one for the filter). There are also 2 individual LFO's which can be used to modulate the Pulse Width, envelope and Arpeggiator independently.

A very flexible and fun synth. Other cool tricks up its sleeve include chord memory and an effects mode in which oscillators have a variety of ways to be synced. The built-in arpeggiator and sequencer can run all 4 VCO's at a time or cycle through each voice per note! There's also portamento, CV/Gate, VCF and VCO mod inputs, white noise generator, and the pitch/mod wheels can be assigned to control LFO, pitch or the filter. Its sound quality is nice and very Korg. This synth is used by Hardfloor, Tangerine Dream, The Orb, 808 State, Juno Reactor, Megaton Matt Haines, Freddy Fresh, and the Chemical Brothers.

This unit has been used on countless records by bands like Deerhunter, The Kaiser Chiefs, The Magic Gang, The Big Moon, Childhood and many many others! Used and maintained in a smoke-free studio. Keyboard Bed may need some servicing, same as the wheels on the left but apart from that, its in really great shape! Sounds fantastic!"
