EMEAPP SONIC TEST DRIVE: RSF BLACKBOX Feat. DON SLEPIAN
video upload by EMEAPP
"Another rarity from the halls of EMEAPP, here we have the ultra-rare RSF Blackbox from the late 70s. While it doesn't look like much on the outside, it is capable of a pretty amazing task: it can turn a monosynth into a polysynth by using it's CV/gate output. Intended as a peripheral device for the RSF Kobol monosynth, the Blackbox is compatible with a plethora of other vintage monosynths. In this video, electronic music pioneer Don Slepian will demonstrate the Blackbox's capabilities as a stand-alone instrument.

XODES SS14
Great for adding movement and variety to your patches, Xodes' SS14 is a rock-solid, one-to-four sequential switch that can run in either direction. Clocked via an external input, the SS14 determines the size of the sequence based on the largest O/I step used—ranging from one to four steps. You can reset the sequence for consistent downbeats via the reset input, and switching the mode from loop to random offers a more unpredictable and non-repetitive sequence. Including jumpers on the rear to normalize multiple of the O/I jacks, the SS14 is a fantastically compact tool for creating sequenced modulation and timbres or even sequenced sequences!
SS14 FEATURES
1-4 sequential switch
Bi-directional operation
Sequence length is determined via greatest O/I used (1/2/3/4 steps)
Clock and reset inputs for running and restarting the sequence
Mode toggle determines if the sequence loops sequentially or randomly
Rear triple jumper allows normalization within the O/I jacks (1>2 / 2>3 / 3>4)
Open screw slots ensure compatibility with both Intellijel and Pulp Logic 1U formats
