Quick, Fun & Musical! Triple Eurorack Filter with Snapshots // Etna by Patching Panda

video upload by DivKid

"Here's Etna, an advanced morphing self animating and sequenced triple multimode analogue filter from Patching Panda. While Etna has all your standard filter controls and modulation inputs it comes with a simple to use, quick and fun ... and musical! ... snapshot control. It's always capturing and saving your slider movements ready to recall or sequence through with clocks or CV control."

"Etna is an advanced triple control analog multimode morphing filter, meticulously designed for precise and dynamic sound shaping. It allows for rapid or smooth transitions between diverse filter settings, known as snapshots.

Each snapshot comprehensively defines all of the filter’s parameters, which can be adjusted either swiftly or gradually. These transitions are controlled through an applied voltage or clock and triggers, with the flexibility to use up to eight distinct stages for creating complex filtering effects in a variety of audio applications.

In addition to its morphing capabilities, Etna incorporates analog controls that enable real-time, expressive modifications to the parameters of each saved snapshot. This enhancement not only enriches the morphing process but also provides a tactile, live experience that adds significant depth and nuance to the audio output, making it a powerful tool for both studio and live performance settings."

"SVC-350 in great condition with original rack ears and front grab/protection rails.

In fantastic condition, the slider caps are cracked but original (not often you see that, most units replaced them for new types which are very slightly different profile) and the only "fault" is the output level slider has lost its clicks between L M H (still switches between the 3 modes so no loss of functionality). I have 2x spare 3-way switches for this unit I will include with the sale - I meant to get round to replacing this but other things took over in life! If you absolutely have to have this changed for the sale I can replace this part for you (I run an electronics company Myrk- Instruments, and over 20 years experience fixing musical equipment)."

"Classic and legendary Prophet VS Synth in great working condition. So many synths and synth designers have taken bits and pieces from this design but nothing beats the original.. nothing sounds as bold and awesome as the original. The sonic possibilities are endless and the filters are classic Sequential. Good solid functional condition and good cosmetics as well. The only thing to note in full disclosure.. The chorus section is a but noisy. No worries tho, if it bothers you, there is a Chorus Bypass buttons right on the top panel.. i always bypassed it and used a Strymon, Eventide or Lexicon for stellar results. It was serviced by the best.. Wine Country a few years ago and still providing years of sonic bliss!"

Patching Panda Particles Revisited

video upload by Molten Music Technology

"One year ago, I bought and built the Particles kit, thinking I understood what it did. I was wrong. Now I've got the hang of it, I wanted to show you what it does with a bit more certainty and point out that it's pretty awesome and is starting to become a permanent feature in my case."

One of my favorite tracks from the 80s.
I Feel For You by Chaka Khan
written and composed by Prince (1979)
produced by Arif Mardin (1984)

featured the Yamaha DX7 II FD, the Oberheim OB-Xa and the Moog Source

This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers.
Check out the original songs with the original artists here on YouTube.
Thank you."
