"3 ingredients: Cascadia, Ableton Live and a delay / reverb pedal. That's all we've used here to quickly create the foundations of a techno track (minus the kick and snare).

The setup: MIDI from Push 3 + Live over USB to sequence Cascadia, then performing and recording the audio loops. This way we can quickly create parts, capture them, and repeat.

Cascadia's versatility in sound design makes it great for layering all kinds of electronic sounds - from classic warm analogue, to modded out textures & noises."

"Oberheim Two Voice made by the wonderful Oberheim Electronics. To me, the Two Voice/SEM is the my favorite synthesizer (and also the FVS/EVS system!)

This TVS is owned by a cool client of mine. This TVS is a prime example, being a very minty condition/restored Two Voice. I originally restored this one a few years back, and here it is making the sinister filter sweeps/sounds. The onboard mini sequencer, is such an amazing concept and I’ve spent hours just making a sequence, then soloing on top with the second SEM."

"One of my favorites from the Selected Ambient Works vol.2 album (1994 Warp Records).
For this cover I used the Prophet onboard bbd delay, then I added some reverb (my usual Vintageberb).
The patch it's quite simple: a single oscillator, square wave.

"Out Sunday 25th August

So, it's been almost 4 Years since I worked on the Prophet X and then released X-Plorations Vol 1. While it does have some amazing Factory Samples from 8DIO, which i have used, I was a little disappointed in the Synth Samples, so I sampled 14 of my Synths, just the Oscillators wide open over many Octaves and EVERY note.

Of course, the Prophet X has onboard VA Oscillators and when combined with the Samples, you can make the Prophet X sound amazing. As mentioned, for Volume 1 I sampled 14 of my Synths to make 43 Sample Sets, these are the Synths I used.
